Gran Hotel (2011–2013)

I love Gran Hotel!

I am in the USA and have been watching Gran Hotel on Netflix. I do need subtitles but after the 2nd episode I was hooked. The cast is marvelous. I will agree that the writing and screenplay although a bit hokey and soapy at times is also very good. Great villains, Great heroes, great comedians. THE CLOTHES AND SETS were the star of the show. OMG how beautiful. I am nearing the end of season 3 and will sorely miss you when you are gone. Please give us another series that may continue with the same characters...... OOO's

Ghosts of War (2020)

THE Title and summary are misleading. This is a terrible "C" movie. Even with struggling to find things to watch I am sorry I watched this one. The worst story line, the acting was good with the awful material they had to work with. The ending is especially terrible. My recommendation skip this one. !

Beecham House (2019)

I am loving this!

I am shocked at some of the negative reviews. This is a great series. John Beecham, OMG, he is so great. The production is incredible and it is so far being true to historical events. This is British TV or any TV at its best. I would say that I think that the episodes could be longer and develop the story more and the series could be 8 episodes instead of 6.

Outlander (2014– )

A series for the ages

This is THE best book adaptation series I have seen. To be transparent, I began reading the books early on and the screenplay was so much better for me I have stopped reading them. I read book 1 & 2 (about half) then stopped then did pick up book 6 then stopped and now book 7 and now stopped. The author throws everything including the kitchen sink at this couple to see if they can stay together. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't for me. I understand that Caitriona and Sam are involved in writing season 6. They have indicated there will be changes that deviate from the books. I welcome them. The screen play has made this series better. I am typically a purists as are many of you and have NEVER thought a screen play better before. Thank you Starz, Caitriona, Sam and the rest of the cast.

SPOILER - My particular objection to book 7 is a specific part of Claire and John Gray's union. John Gray isn't even attracted to women this was not necessary, Really Diana UGH!

Great series Watch It!

I loved the series. I do agree with the reviews about the crazy woman Dr. Smith. She doesn't work at all. With all the unknowns in space it would seem that the writers could come up with something else for conflict than Dr. Smith. I really love the great relationship of John and Maureen Robinson and intern the wonderful relationship they have with their family and friends. It's rare a series can incorporate this type of bond and positive close relationship into a gripping well conceived series. I feel close to them.

This is a great show especially for those of us who grew up with the original. The acting is outstanding and the creative minds of the writers are amazing. Hoping for many seasons!

I think this movie needs a sequel. It can be 10 years later where Theodora can be the focus. The same cast is a must. Great casting. Thanks for a wonderful movie.

I loved the books Anne of Green Gables. This is a great series and I am not put off by the embellishments added to the stories in the books. In fact the books left me wanting more. This is worth watching.

This was a really great series. I didn't mind the voice dubbing although I do think that the original actor's voices should bbn have been used. If you think it is dull at first give it a chance then you will be hooked. I an hoping for a season 2.

Mary Poppins Returns (2018)

Outstanding

I thought I was going to we basically a remake or the old movie but instead got t by is wonderful continuation.... Emily Blunt who plays Mary Poppins is outstanding and really made the movie.

Thank you cast and crew for a wonderful Christmas day.

Jane Eyre (1983)

My favorite version

There are only 2 things in this version I did not care for and that is the 30 minute length of the episodes and the outdated screen format (I know that couldn't be helped). Everything else I absolutely loved. I felt that Zelah Clark and Timothy Dalton were Jane and Mr. Rochester. Although plain Jane is not ugly and Zelah is the perfect match-up. I will say that to fully realize how well the actors played these character's reading the novel is a must. Thank you for such a wonderful adaptation.
