Welcome to Wrexham (2022)
WAY Better Than I Was Expecting
I got into this after season 2 was complete. I knew NOTHING about Wrexham (and pretty much soccer/football) before this outside of Ted Lasso. Which in my opinion is one of the greatest TV shows ever made. But it's fictional.
This hooked me from episode 1 and I binged both seasons in a few days. Like many others above have stated, I am now a Wrexham fan. Paul Mullin is my favorite player. I even bought FC24 so I could play as him and take Wrexham through the ranks. About to be promoted to the Championship League (by the way).
I now own a replica kit (the black one) and hat. Though, when they say replica, they MEAN replica. I got a XXL but it fits like it should if I was an actual player (which my body type is definitely not) so it's hanging on my wall. I keep up with their matches every week. So, season 3 will not be a surprise (there are 6 matches left as of this writing) but I will no doubt LOVE it as much as the first 2.
All this is to say that literally everything about this series is just pure awesome and I CANNOT recommend it highly enough.
Blockbuster (2022)
3 Stars for the 3 times I laughed
Not only is this extremely boring, but it's also a MAJOR step backwards for Park and Fumero. B99 was very good early on (never finished it) and Fresh off the Boat was also decent. This seems like some fake show that would be playing in the background on a TV in one of those.
I do not recommend even trying it. I got part way through episode 3 and that was enough. I also have no idea how Smoove continues to get ANY roles in anything. He can't act, is NOT funny in any way, and is awkward on screen (but in no way that's entertaining).
The lone bright spot (and this is reaching for literally anything positive) is Madeleine Arthur as Hannah. She is slightly endearing.
Mom: My Kinda People and the Big To-Do (2021)
Should have ended after the previous episode
If they weren't going to film a true finale (this was NOT a series finale) then they should have just ended after the penultimate episode. That was more of a finale type episode.
This was a good episode, but still ruins the entire experience of Mom.
This was a horrible decision. So sick of TV shows that end unresolved.
Beef House (2020)
Dumbest thing I've ever seen
Absolutely zero redeeming qualities about this garbage.
ThunderCats Roar (2020)
Why?
I'm in my 40s. I have seen a lot of garbage in my life. This is the worst thing I have ever seen on TV.
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2018)
Honestly the worst thing I've ever seen
This isn't only the worst version of the Turtles (it is) but it's the worst thing I've ever seen on a television screen. Completely devoid of a single redeeming quality. Utter trash.
SMILF (2017)
Pure Trash
Just more left wing political garbage. Everyone who isn't born rich is a victim and nothing is their fault. This is propaganda at its most extreme. The acting isn't terrible but the writing and messages are complete garbage.
Avoid at all costs. Then again, I'm sure if you think of yourself as a victim, you'll probably adore this show.
The Orville (2017)
More than Star Trek
I really liked the show after the first 2 episodes, but episode 3 is where I fell in love with the show. I won't rehash the plots or the description of the show since it's been done very effectively in a lot of previous reviews.
It's a comedy in a lot of ways yes, but it became much more after the third episode. I really can't wait to see where it goes.
