V for Vendetta (2005)
V is not just a mask, its an idea!
I always thought that this movie is going to be kind of sci-fi action packed yet another Wachowaski brother's matrix type of flick. But got to tell you this was amazing piece of work. From the beginning till the end I was on the edge of the seat. From the first scene when V got introduced, it was like who and why is he "V"?
Finally when I got out of the theater,I was debating myself, how much is there beyond our personal life which is untouched and unknown! Although the movie seems to have set in future and sounds fictional, the incidents and the political situation always represents today's world. And most of the countries are going through these facts.
The movie not only shows how the government uses their own public to experiment on drugs, religion and anti-homosexuality, it also shows how a individual can contribute to fight against the prevailing system. It tells us that it's only the "fear", that kills our system. The ending is what is very inspiring. The most moving dialogue was when V says "beneath this mask there is more than flesh. There is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof"
As the movie moves on you get involved with V character so much, that you start believing his preach, and somehow you find him a hero of your world too. Basically in the movie it is "Evey" who is represented as getting inspired by V showing different life situations, but finally "Evey" is just a character and that could be anyone as you :)
Hugo, who has acted as V is amazing. He seems creepy with the mask, but the acting and the voice which reflects the movie sequences is very impressive. Natalie Portman is as usual fantastic. As "Evey" character she couldn't be more justifiable! Her looks and expressions are well portrayed. And even the rest of the cast in the movie is well acted.
And last but not least to mention are action scenes. Wow! They were just visual treat to eyes.
This is a must see movie. This movie not just represents Natalie Portman, it could be me, my family or friends or you!

Beautifully made in all aspects!
I got to tell you that this movie elevated my respect to Tamil film industry. Very rare you find such a beautiful and skillful storytelling! Most of the time the director's direction matters in the movie. He can mould the acting the way he asks for. And that's what you see from this one. Movie storyline seems to be inspired from Hollywood all time favorite "Momento". The beauty of the movie is the pace in which it goes. Each scene is worth watching. Special effects and background score is the best I have seen! Surya was perfect fit for the role and he carried it with passion and dedication. This is the first movie of Asin I have seen and Man! she rocks. None in her genre can act so real! Finally have to say, this is the way the indianized version of Hollywood flicks should be made ;-)

Rang De World!
When I got into the theater, I knew will be getting a ride into the beauty and uniqueness of the Mehra and that's what happened. Big applause to his direction. There are very few movies which touch these matters with so much of joy and passion. Finally you see in the movie is what you get! For me any movie is great, if some of the scenes remain in your heart after even coming out of theater. No doubt Aamir is the king of acting and impacting. Although his role was kind of lead in the movie, still he gets very little moments to show his brilliance. Every actor in that matter has shown that they all are hidden gold to be digged by a proper direction. Especially Siddhart, Kunal Kapoor, Soha, Sharman Joshi, Atul and Madahvan. Last but least I want to point out how sweetly Alice Patten had got into that role. Her Hindi is not much of a nautanki. She acted and spoke real zeal for the country. Her role was very inspiring. The cinematography is sublime and screenplay will make you laugh and cry at times. The song sung by Lata is touching and very meaningful. And finally it's great to see an amazingly inspiring, passionate and flawless piece of cinema from a great director. Bollywood should come out with these political and social issues with strong urge to change the mind of all young hearts who can aspire our country to become the way we want. Democracy is not just a concept that needs to dwell in the books and history. It's a forgotten and ignored way on which none want to travel. Movies like this should be made to enlighten the proper destination to the confusion of the world and all Indians! Certainly this movie painted my heart too like others in this reviews. Rang De

Awakening Political Thriller!
Got to tell you this is one of the best movie I watched this year.Every small character is well crafted and written. The screenplay was awesome acting was uptight! Clooney and Matt were at their best. Alexander Siddig was great in his role as the sheik. Although Amada Peet had a very less role, but her expressions were lovable. In total if you know the Asian language(especially Hindi and Arabic) this movie rocks. Some small flaws were there, but guess director has his own reasons for keeping them in movie.
The movie runs in different bits and pieces and finally glues together. It was very educative and realistically made! well done gaghan and his team. This movie is not just a Hollywood flick, its for worldwide audience.
