Boy Kills World (2023)
Underrated
This action thriller is a masterclass in balancing genres, blending goofy comedic scenes with blood-filled gore scenes to create a uniquely entertaining experience. The silent hero, a bold choice, adds an extra layer of intrigue to the already engaging storyline.
The film's pacing is impeccable, with each scene flowing seamlessly into the next. The comedic moments are expertly timed, providing a much-needed respite from the intense action sequences. The gore scenes, while graphic, are not gratuitous, serving a purpose in advancing the plot.
The silent hero, despite their inability to speak, is a compelling and charismatic protagonist. Their actions and expressions convey a depth of emotion, making them relatable and rootable.
Overall, this movie is a must-watch for fans of action thrillers and comedy alike. Its unique blend of genres and bold choices make for a thrilling ride that will keep you engaged and entertained until the very end.
India: The Modi Question (2023)
An Indian's view of the documentary
I am from India. I would like to give an unbiased review of the documentary.
The documentary looks very well researched but from one narrow and biased perspective. I condone everything bad that happened to people during the riots but it wasn't just one community that suffered. This documentary seems to be promoting the narrative of muslim victimhood. It portrays Modi as the ultimate villain but the arguments fall short everywhere.
There's only claims and statements, I don't see any strong arguments or proof to back them.
You really want to believe entire police force decided to stay quiet, you realize there's muslims in police too?
CAA NRC is wrongfully portrayed and the students who gave their statements, have no idea what they are saying.
I can point out 100s of such small details that are left out just to create a narrative of anti-India and anti-BJP and show BJP as anti-muslim. Disappointed by BBC.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)
Strongest movie I have seen
The movie shook me to the core.
I experienced all kinds of emotions at the maximum possible level while watching it.
Coolie No.1 (2020)
Copy-Paste of the Classic Govinda movie.
Movie is the exactly copy of the old movie with same scenes and same dialogues.
Filled with overacting by Varun Dhawan does cheap mimicry ( probably the only thing not forgetful about the movie though ).
Sara Ali Khan doesn't fail to impress us with her bland emotion-less acting.
Supporting cast is probably the best thing about the movie, occasionally throwing in humor and they seem sarcastic inspite of their brilliant performance(it's as if they're being robbed by a talentless lead actor and actress).
All the action and romance scenes are cringe. An actor is hit by the glass bottle and doesn't get a scratch.
Double meaning jokes and cringy romance are sort of been the goto recipe for bollywood for decades.
so, not gonna complain about that.
Overall, Deserves all the hate it's getting.
