Bible Bees (2019)
Yuk, who makes this crap?
WTF! There should be a law against this kind of religious terrorism!
Fear the Walking Dead (2015)
There is something very suspicious about many of the reviews!
I read the reviews here before watching the show. So I expected it to be very bad. I almost chose not to watch. But I like the original "The Walking Dead" so much, I just had to.
I'm halfway through season 2 now and the show is really very good! At least as good as the original series.
And then I remembered all the negative reviews here. I came back and read them again to see what exactly the complaints were all about. And I started noticing a pattern. Most of the complaints concentrate on actors not showing emotions and the characters in the show making bad/stupid decisions.
Both these statements are false.
There are so many similarities between the negative reviews, that I am convinced that someone is deliberately trying to manipulate the rating of this show.
Whether you will like this show or not will of course depend on your personal taste, but if you like the original series the I'm sure you will like this one as well.
Justice (2017)
Not THAT bad
True, this certainly isn't a great movie. But if I look at all the 1 star reviews, those are also an exaggeration. This movie is worth 5 starts (if you're into westerns). I wouldn't pay to see this in a cinema. But for a rainy Thursday evening, with nothing better to do, it's entertaining enough.
The Shack (2017)
Very easy to explain...
This movie is very easy to describe: A whole lot of krap, beautifully gift-wrapped with a gorgeous ribbon around it and a cherry on top. The religious recruitment office did a wonderful job. I'm sure they managed to enlist numerous simple souls. How does one score something like this...? The film is beautifully made, no doubt about it. Acting is good. Locations are gorgeous. Pace is a bit slow at times. But one thing annoyed me so much it kept distracting me constantly: the actors, all of them, constantly speak at a subdued level, almost whispering. And this throughout the entire movie. Why is this??? It is {swear word} irritating! Anyway, 'nuf said. Lets watch the next movie...
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)
Overrated
8.0? Really??? NO NO NO! I am 100% convinced that many of the 10 star reviews here are written by people working for the company that made this film. That's why I'm giving this 1 star, to compensate, because really this movie should score 5 or maybe 5.5. I hate it when commercial incentives ruin a scoring system like this, although I can't say I'm surprised. As for the movie, it is mediocre. Not bad, not good. But just read some of the 5 star reviews here, they mostly explain this movie correctly. I'm not going to bother.
Swiss Army Man (2016)
This is a weird movie...
Someone mentioned that you either love it or hate it. Not true. I certainly didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. It did make me laugh a couple of times, but not enough to call it a comedy. There wasn't enough adventure to call is an adventure either, nor enough drama to call it a drama. So what is it then? Well, I think the word 'weird' was invented to characterize something like this. I remember watching another weird movie a couple of weeks ago, called "Lobster". OK, I admit that was a whole lot weirder than this one. But maybe people who like Lobster may appreciate this movie. As for me... neh. Did I enjoy it? Maybe a little bit. Is it a good movie? No. Is it a bad one? No, that would be too negative. I won't go so far as to call it a "waste of time", but if I had know upfront what kind of movie it was, I probably wouldn't have watched it.
The Young Messiah (2016)
Booooooring. Nuf said.
Boring movie. Bad script. Bad casting (with the exception of Sean Bean). Slow pace would be an overstatement. Halfway through the movie I found myself rooting for the Romans. The only amazing thing about this movie is that they were able to make a trailer out of it that made me want to watch it. Hats of to the maker of the trailer. As for the rest... next please.
