Harry & Meghan (2022)
These reviews don't pass the vibe check....
I read through these reviews and find it remarkable how many people STILL have so much hate for these two. It seems like people rated this a 1 star without even watching. I enjoyed this series and am saddened by what Harry and Meghan have had to go through over the years. Throughout all the hate, their love for each other truly shines throughout. I'm glad they have chosen to share parts of their life with us regardless of whether they are capitalizing on it or not. The media has been so one-sided against Meghan and Harry that I found it refreshing to see something from their point of view. My mom and husband watched it as well and all of us found it to be an easy watch with difficult content.
Set It Up (2018)
Such a great surprise!
I needed a feel-good movie and this rom com did the trick! Super cute and funny without being too cheesy. I definitely recommend this movie!
Hilarity for Charity (2018)
Parts are funny
Just finished watching Hilarity for Charity. I wanted to like this so badly.. it's a great cause and line up, but it definitely didn't live up to its potential.
First off, the audience was so stiff!! If we felt the tension at home, I can't imagine how the comedians felt. I realize this was for charity so it was a different audience than who you would normally see at a comedy show, but I didn't feel like they enjoyed the event.. at all.
The show was kind of a weird mix of raunchy comedy, family-friendly singing (with the muppets), and information about Alzheimers. The comedians were great, I just wish their segments were a longer without all the randomness in between. I did laugh (thank you John Mulaney), so I think it was worth watching, but definitely not my favorite Netflix special.
