The Bystanders (2022)

Not Great

Wasn't for me, a little to Zany, some interesting ideas but poor characters, low production quality and not the best comic acting or script meant became I got bored and had to leave before the end. I genuinely felt bad about that, but I just thought it tried too hard and was like a very long poor episode of a cross between 1970's Doctor Who & the much funnier series, The Mighty Boosh. It just seemed like a film sixth formers or drama students put together and as I knew nothing about it before, I should have done my research before, as i probably would have swereved it.

I wish the Director all the best and hope going forward he proves me wrong.

The Reckoning (2023)

Coogan really shows his class

A great performance on a very tricky subject and let's face it a godawful man. Coogan takes you back to that era in a seamless performance, certainly worthy of a TV Bafta . Really enjoyed this drama on what is such a vile not just television but also that particular historical period for many a reason. The entire cast deserves much credit, and playing their part in backing the incredible performance of Steve Coogan, who once again showed his versatility when playing such characters, please also seek out his other excellent performances, Laurel and Hardy and Philomena. Finally, a very Well done to all the brave victims who Accounts, helped make this such compelling viewing.

The Book of Boba Fett (2021–2022)

Back to poor form... being nice giving it 5 out of 10!

After the brilliant Mandalorian . This series started with such high hopes but has turned into plotless childish rubbish. It is very similar in levels of quality to Solo the movie. I will watch just because I like Star Wars, but already I am totally underwhelmed by this cheese fest. The mystery & darkness has been lost to the Disney plotless eps rubbish 2D caracteres & naff CGI visuals. The have destroyed the mystery of Boba and instead made his character become pretty naff! Good old Disney once again have switched off the true fans ( just like they did after giving us great hope after Rogue One)

Feels like you should not be watching .... But you are actually there seeing magic historical music being made & performed as it happens.

Brilliant a must for any Beatles & music fan.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (2019)

Just as expected awful!

Just like the others ... slap dash nonsense, in-fact the 3rd one was worse than the other two. Both Daisy & Adam as actors put heart and soul into their limited characters. Too busy thinking about ticking demographic boxes and selling merchandise. Disney have really taken the franchise to an awful level. Despite wiping these 3 awful films from my memory, "there is still hope!" If Disney follow the formula for the much under rated Rogue 1 and the fantastic Mandalorian series. Alas money will talk and turds like SOLO will no doubt get made just like these 3 awful films ( that I was so excited about when told they were being made, but that was .... " A long time ago in some far away galaxy"

Big explosions may attract ages 6 to 9 Try fans of Star Wars like me will hate the fact we find it so corny or funny.... two leads acting wise do give everything to be fair. But alas the film is just utter Pooh.. Don't worry! I won't ruin the plot.... there isn't one !
