Kitz (2021)
Weak conversations....
Firstly i have to praise that the series manages to create stunning images in some cases. The Idea behind all of this is a good one and i understand why it was made after all. But i don't understand how the screenwriters could fail at giving these young characters conversations that sound at least kind of matching their age. There were many Dammit-Moments, as Sorkin might call them, were things are said that no real person would say in real life. This blends into unmatching actor performances, where it is hard to tell whether it is the dialogs, the director, or the actors to blame for this. It just feels completely unreal. But still this series has some good things to it, and the plot makes it worth a watch for intrigued viewers.
The Vigil (2019)
The Real Horror Lies in What Human Being experienced, about a movie that understands that
First, i am watching many modern horror movies, and even though they entertain me sometimes, most of them are rather boring because they all show what others have already shown. This is where The Vigil comes in, due to the ongoing pandemic that affected its release in Germany 2020, i had a tough time finding movies in the cinema i haven't watched already. So one night i decided to go and watch this movie, which did not seem to be an outstanding movie due to its bad IMDb rating and mediocre Metascore. I have never ever been proven wrong that much by prejudices.
It is a movie that shows us so many unseen things, first of all there is its jewish theming, touching the controversy of orthodox religion. Next at a horror perspective it is a film that uses less jumpscares than you would expect, it had various scenes where i thought that it builds jumpscares up, just to see that what is showed as the scare, is so terrifying that there is no need for an jumpscare to scare an audience. Speaking of that, this movie ultimately is about the horrible mistreatments of Jews by the Nazis during the second World War. About haunting traumas, about possible mistreatments in the jewish orthodox society. It might not be the best movie of 2020 to me, but for people that don't want to see the same thing in a different movie everyday this might be a really good choice.
Amazing Interiors (2018)
Guys have we watched the same series?
This Netlix Original show features great cinematography, good storytelling and most important: great looking homes. In my opinion its really inspiring and entertaining.
No way it deserves less then 7 stars!
Hereditary (2018)
The most outstanding, insane horror movie i've ever watched
Let me tell you something, i watch many horror films, i get scared often, but its fun. Watching horror movies is often fun to most people watching them, laughing after they were scared because the atmosphere softens up after that for some time. But Hereditary is not fun to watch at all. It makes you feel really uncomfortable and shocks you, though jumpscares are just used a few times. If you are sensitive to horror, jumpscares and are terrifyied easily, dont watch it! Its really stressing. I remember me and my friend not talking to each other for a few minutes after we finished watching it. It is a really good, and innovative movie, dont get me wrong. The acting is on point, the DP did a great job and the story is told really good. ( i am really just curios how the writers got the idea for this insane plot)
You need to ask yourself whether you want to do this to you, like i said for the average person it is not fun to watch.
A Ghost Story (2017)
Underrated by Imdb Users
I think most of the people who are rating this movie have no clue what it is about.
You have to start thinking about what happens, and watch the actors carefully.
The DP did a great job, the story is complex, and this movie can bring you to tears when you watch it with patience.
It is incredible how this movie forces you to think about life and death, and does give you a special view about death.
I also really liked the music, which wasnt used that much, most scenes didnt even had to be underlined with music because they were powerful enough without it. There is a good reason for the critics giving it a 84 total score, man if you aren't patient enough for this movie, you should not judge artfilms at all, because you are missing some very important things aspects in them.
A Ghost Story remains as one of the great artworks that need you to be an intellectual film passioned enthusiast to fully get what it is all about.
