Irish Wish (2024)
Colourful but Cliché
I wanted to like this movie more from the beginning when it played out at the book launch and signing but it went downhill cliché from there. It's unoriginal with shallow dialogues. Could have passed as a regular school play. It's a copy and paste of movies like "13 going on 30", "Falling for Christmas", "The Proposal".
Maybe there's a reason for getting two women who look alike "cheek wise" to be Lindsay's friends but I sometimes could only focus on their cheeks.
It's colourful, typical Lindsay Lohan even though the romance was lost on me. I guess her genuine look and the fact that I already started the movie made me go through with it.
The Perfect Find (2023)
CLICHÉ
Sounds and is like bits and pieces of every other movie title with the word "Perfect" & movies with rich old career women.
Nothing original nor mind blowing. The shoot sessions were even more painful to watch. I waited for the magic in each scene but it was me waiting in vain. 🙂🙂
I love the actors but they were the wrong bunch for the wrong production. Individually, I've seen them do really good in other movies but collectively here, it was like watching something with no effort.
Overall it's nice to watch if you're watching for free, have nothing doing but not paying at the cinemas.
And that last scene 🤦♀️
Dinner at My Place (2022)
CRINGE!
I liked how the movie started until when he dipped the ring in the soup. The easiest place to have placed it was back was in his jacket pocket given the position of his hand but no, still he went back to push it further down. Had me darting my eyes like "was that supposed to be how the tragedy would be ushered in?" *inserts WTF meme*
Going all fidgety when your ex showed up like you were cheating, WHY? The option of the ex staying over on a romantic night was too off and what was that voice Bisola adopted? I wanted to weep. 😢
To save my IQ from adapting to this sorta silliness, I stopped watching the movie. Thankfully I didn't go to the cinema to watch. Phew!!
