Mister America (2019)
We've got a rat problem
San Bernardo has been plagued by crime for so long. Not only crime but bad judgement in the district attorney 's office of Rosetti. The documentary follows God fearing Tim Heidecker, host of On Cinema, as he gathers signatures for a campaign to appear on the ballot opposite of Roseti to bring justice and reform to San Bernadino.
Now I gave this movie 5 bags (which translates to the arbitrary star rating of 10) but I need to explain why. Tim was cast in a bad light by a hack of a director (a man I won't even say the name of to avoid giving him any of that lime light), and this movie REEKS and you shouldn't watch it. But I did give this movie it's rating so it doesn't affect Tim negatively in his average movie rating and so that you can see the hard work of an honest man, albeit in a deceitfully portrayed way.
5 bags of popcorn and a little eraser to erase the director of this movie and his inappropriately included scenes not only from the movie, but from history.

Textbook Biopic Pros and Cons with Worse Pacing and Script Choices
Let's get it out of the way: Efron is great in this movie.
Now to the bad:
This movie comes in with a tough position - you know who Ted Bundy is. He is a monster and deserves no favorable portrayal. But at that point you wonder, then how can we have an entertaining film when we know to not like the main character? Fair question and a skilled writer can find a way to make you care. Or, they can throw together a bunch of scenes in a brisk pace to go through some key personal moments of the main character, show that he is handsome and deserving of the public eye to exonerate him because of that fact, and he seems to keep mysteriously getting arrested for "unrelated crimes" leading up to a "huge climax where he turns out to be a serial killer."
Again, we know who he is. I don't understand the choices made in this movie to act like a forensic files episode with a strong lead actor.
Follow the romantic life, show him as a womanizer, show us a reason for the girlfriend to care, show us him win over the public, then own the closing line of the movie and start to show us through a longer trial (make that the focus of the film and spend serious time on it) that your average charming neighbor can turn into a dark, heinous figure.
This isn't the character/case study it could have been, this isn't the court room drama it could have been, and this isn't the tell-all it could have been.
Speed Kills (2018)
This movie is hilarious
It's awful. Worst movie of the year for sure. The plot has no direction and there are some amazing boat race montages with stock footage and some cameos of important political figures of the time. You never know what's about to happen or what's happening, but it's entertaining garbage. Solid comedy
