The Green Hornet (2011)
Underrated
This movie entertained me from beginning to end, no matter how ridiculous and over the top it was at times. This movie is actually really good when you put it in comparison with recent marvel movies like Thor love and thunder and the externals. I don't know why everyone complains about Seth rogan as the casting as he's supposed to be a spoiled snob at first, to be fair I'm biased towards Seth Rogan though as a real find him funny. How I would explain this movie is the green hornet mixed with a pg rated Seth rogan movie and that's why I think people hated it. In the end though I had a good time.
7/10.
We're the Millers (2013)
Simple plot, great movie
Now this is a comedy. This remains amongst one of the greatest comedies of our past decades and holds up with the jump street movies and the hangover. I don't know why rotten tomatoes rated this so low, as it genuinely is funny. There's many laugh out loud moments and this is mainly due to the cast who did an outstanding job, and you can tell they had just as much fun as everyone watching. The reason I compare this too movies like the hangover and the jumpstreets is because they both know what they are as a project, and they do a hell of a good job doing it. It's simply a hilarious action comedy.
8/10.
Rick and Morty: Night Family (2022)
What a great episode
This episode was sure original. If anything it reminded me of "Rick and morty" combined with the movie "us". There were gags that had me laughing harder than I have in all of season 5 of Rick and morty, in fact this episode feels like an episode that would have been released in seasons 1-3. This episode has so far been my favourite yet of the ones released in season 6, and I hope to see more like it. This episode is about Rick who buys an invention where he can make himself do stuff while sleeping, and later gets the whole smith family invested. Justin Rolland and Dan Harmon make the episode work phenomenally with their creative imaginations.
Monster: Please Don't Go (2022)
Evan peters is great
If you have ever seen an interview with Jeffery Dahmer you can see how much of a weird dead robot he is, and evan peters pulled it off perfectly. This episode focuses more so on the life of Jeffery Dahmer both as a kid and as a adult. It establishes how Jeff acted around both, family, and strangers. And as anyone can imagine he acted strange and creepy. As this episode is another unsettling one it also leaves me to wonder why he got away with the murder for as long as he was committing them. I mean he usually just walks up to one person in a group of people, tells them his actual name, and says he wants to party at his apartment. Feels like they should have caught him earlier. But still another good episode that Evan peters makes as thrilling as the last one.
Nope (2022)
Another original peele movie
So this movie is really jordon peeles jaws, and what can I say, it was enjoyable. The first hour was a 6/10 for me as it was just character development and a little boring. But the second half was a 9/10 since it was gripping and an exiting watch. The acting was great, especially Keke Palmer. And the directing was really well done, as peele is an impressive director.
Overall rating=7.5/10.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
It's fun
This movie is like if ghostbuster met gremlins and was made in 2021. And what can I say it was a fun watch. If your new to the series you will have a good time watching this movie and find it kind of weird but funny and wholesome. If you are a fan of the original two you will be pleasantly surprised with this film. I walked into this thinking I would dislike it, and while it isn't as good as the very first ghostbusters, I sure did enjoy it for what it was. It started like a coming of age movie, then it met the ghostbusters world, then is met absolute insanity and nostalgia which made the movie for me and gave it that ghostbusters charm that I thought we would never get again from money thirsty Hollywood.
Discovering David Dobrik (2021)
Shows the real vlog squad
This shows the real side of the vlog squad and it shows how good of friends everyone really is. While they fight once and a while or there is that odd moment of cringe, it only makes me appreciate the show more. This is a real non scripted reality show, that is just a bunch of friends flying around the world, and I really enjoy it.
Community (2009)
Most underrated sitcom to date
This show has a special spot in my heart, as I grew very attached to the characters. And while parks and rec, the office, and friends all have likeable characters, there's always the one oddball who's not as likeable as the others. Community's whole cast is very likeable (even chevy/pierce) who was made to be a racist old man. Take a bunch of likeable characters and put them into the most creative situations you will ever see from a sitcom and you get this masterpiece of a show. It starts slow but when Harmon uses his creativity in episodes like modern warfare and basic rocket science it guaranteed becomes one of the most entertaining and creative shows out there. Besides I don't think any other show could make an episode about a lost pen this entertaining.
Shorts (2009)
Now obviously this is not an 8
This movie is quite bad. But, as a kid I adored it just as much as roberts other films (Shark boy and lava girl, and the spy kids films) and I feel like people forget this is targeted for kids. I would now rate this a 2/10 but as a kid I really did enjoy it with its creative use of cgi and entertaining visuals, it's a great flic for kids and did what it wanted to do. Entertain kids. So everyone else reviewing this low, remember, it's not for adults, like at all.
Rating as a 17 year old: 2/10
Rating as a 7 year old: 9/10.
Gisaengchung (2019)
BRILLIANT
This movie is a perfect example of the homeless crisis in Korea. While it does show the differences of the lives of the poor and the rich, it doesn't turn out how you would think. I walked into this movie thinking it would show how greedy rich people are, but boy was I wrong. This is really a unique survival movie, but not the type where a plane crashes or a man falls while cliff climbing. This is a survival movie of how our society can be evil instead of a particular group of people, and how hard it can be for the poor to survive in modern day society in some locations. I am not going to spoil it, but it really changes half way through with genius directing, cinematography, and music.
10/10 movie, believe the hype.
Murderville (2022)
Not for everyone, but definitely worth a watch
I was quite exited for this show as I love will arnetts dry witty humour. And while his humour sure gives the show enough comedic relief to keep watching, it's the guest star in each episode that keeps the show originally refreshing. The concept itself is genius and it is pulled off quite well if you don't take it seriously, like at all. In the end it's worth a watch, as it is the perfect blend of improv and acting.
Mean Girls (2004)
Surprisingly entertaining
I really do not like teen comedies. They never seem to be funny or well written to me. But Mean Girls really is a fun and hysterical movie. The plot is simple but the cast and writing makes it a blast to watch, definitely one of the best teen coms out there, up there with Ferris Buellers Day Off.
The Daily Bugle (2019)
How have we been this blind for so many years
I was once a fan of the Spider-Man. But Mr. J has shown me the true monster he is. Without the daily bugle I would have never known Spider-Man was the one who killed mysterio, who was a true hero.
Rec Room (2016)
Fun if you find a good group of people
I've had very fun moments in this game meeting people. There are many games so the game never gets tedious. The only downside is how more then half the community is under the age of 10. It's a fun game when played with people who also like the game.
Hubie Halloween (2020)
Good movie, bad voice
As every other person who watched this I do not think Adam Sandlers "voice" goes well with this comedy as it does with others like Billy Madison. I think this was an enjoyable and good film. But it would have been so much better if he didn't make that voice.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Best movie ever
This is my favourite movie of all time. Action, comedy, and good old comic book fights. Loved it
War for the Planet of the Apes (2017)
Best one yet
Why all the hate. I was intereaged during the whole film. Do not listen to the hate comments
