The Gilded Age (2022– )

Amazing show with enticing storylines
20 December 2023
The Gilded Age is a phenomenal drama with a wonderful cast. The setting of NYC in the Gilded Age touches on a bygone era that is well portrayed for all social classes during that time. The cast are all superb. The characters are rich and interesting from the upper class to the working class. I love the interactions between sisters, Ada and Agnes. The injection of historical events of the time into the show allows for viewers to see what the world around these characters was like during this time period. The attention to detail in architecture and the clothing is one of the best things about the show. The season 2 season finale was phenomenal and I was smiling the entire time I watched it! Hoping for a season 3!

So boring and anticlimactic
20 December 2023
This movie was such a disappointment. It was so long and boring. I got up several times just to get away from it. Then came back to try and watch it. I was actually hoping for some action or zombies even would have spiced this up. There was endless dialog which was monotonous and cryptic. Every cliche from conspiracy theorists was tossed in for good measure. I kept hoping for decent action sequence but that never happened. The characters were totally unlikeable. It's impossible to enjoy a movie when you can't connect to or even like the characters. The use of the F word seemed forced and unnatural. Netflix really disappointed on this movie.

Disappointing end to Indy
3 July 2023
I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan and Harrison Ford is a legend. But this movie didn't do him or the franchise any Justice. The CGI was terrible, in true Disney fashion. I don't see how they can't figure it out. It seems to be a trend with Disney now. They keep pushing out tons of movies and the special effects continue to get worse. The storyline was lacking and it was entirely too long. This wasn't the Indiana Jones we all loved. I used to think Crystal Skull was the worst Indy movie but now I'm leaning towards this one. The last Indiana Jones in my book is The Last Crusade. You can't go wrong with Sean Connery as his dad. That's how I will remember Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones.

Slow and rather dull
29 July 2022
I usually enjoy historical period shows, especially anything about the Tudors, but this one I lost interest in. I found the storyline boring when it shouldn't have been. The acting was all too intense every moment of the show. The portrayal of young King Edward as a loud, whiny, angry preteen was all too forced and unbelievable. I could barely watch any scenes with him. There are good actors on the show but the show did not portray them well.

A fitting end to the Star Wars saga
22 December 2019
This was an amazing ending to the saga and brought together everything that made Star Wars so awesome in the first place. It made up for the subpar script of The Last Jedi and gives true Star Wars fans the ending they deserved.

Jack Ryan (2018–2023)

First season was phenomenal , 2nd season was terrible
6 November 2019
I binge watched the first season of when it came out last year. It was great - the storyline, the acting and the action were phenomenal. I was looking forward to the second season until I watched it. Within the first three episodes I had to walk away. It was absolutely terrible. I loved John Krasinski as Jack Ryan in the first season but he was practically a different character in the second season. The writing is terrible. The plot line was all over the place. The main female character is cringe worthy. I finally picked back up and painfully watched the rest of the season. I won't give anything away with spoilers but honestly - the ending was dull and predictable. If there is a third season of Jack Ryan, I hope it isn't like the second season.

Fun Christmas flick!
25 December 2018
I loved the first movie but found this one funnier. The movie had a great cast. Adding Mel Gibson and John Lithgow made the movie even better. I also like how the movie addresses real life issues with kids and blended families. There are some scenes in this movie that many parents can relate to. It's full of great comical moments which makes it easy to watch over and over again
