Sex Education: Episode 8 (2020)
Some people don't understand good TV.
Yes, it's not what the fans wanted. But the writers did such an excellent job of subverting expectation and doing it well (take hints Game of Thrones). If Otis and Maeve had gotten together it would have been predictable and cheesy, not to mention make another season fairly pointless. Fantastic ending, and beautifully written. Also Isaac can go ahead and kill himself whenever he's ready.
Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Appallingly Bad
A cast who can't act, but that's not the worst part. Tho story is terrible and disjointed - more plot holes than I thought would be possible from a show as good as Black Mirror. Ending was nonsensical and anticlimactic (not that the episode was building to a climax anyway).
Game of Thrones: Valar Morghulis (2012)
Acting 10/10
Damn Sophie Turner is a good actress - writing is also phenomenal as ever. Magnificent episode.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Truly Phenomenal
I didn't trust my father's taste in television until he convinced me to watch Breaking Bad and I fell in love with it, thinking there could never be a better show. Then I agreed to watch Game of Thrones, expecting to hate it as I'm not a fan of Sci-Fi, or dragons, or anything else I knew the show for. But I watched it, and had soon completely forgotten the name Walter White. Game of Thrones is widely regarded as the greatest TV show of all time, and for good reason. The writing is phenomenal, the editing is superb, and the acting is immense. Admittedly, the show is not as good in Season 8 as it was in Seasons 1-6/7, but I still believe that Season 8 is better than almost every other TV show ever made. Season 8 gets a 9/10 but every other season gets a 10/10, without question.
One has to have a little sympathy for the creators, DB Weiss and David Benioff, as the pressure of concluding the greatest TV series in history is indescribable. However, the latest season has a few minor plot holes, as well as some of the worst battle tactics I've ever seen! I'm disappointed with season 8, but I can't deny that every episode has had me on the edge of my seat and counting down the days until next Sunday, which is exactly what any good show should do. Any ratings below 7 or 8 are from people who are simply frustrated that their theories are not playing out as they wanted. No ending for a show of this size would have pleased everyone, any despite some inconsistencies, I think David and Dan have done a, mostly, very good job.
