If you're an adult, ignore the negative reviews from teens
5 February 2024
This series is unequivocally above average and sadly the majority of the negative reviews come from kids who are expecting a fast-paced action as their attention spans are short and limited. Think people who flip through social media daily to watch reels; slow burners aren't their thing. This is a well written, well acted, well directed slow burner. The storyline is brilliant and it has me completely absorbed in it and glued to my seat wanting more. The only criticism I suppose would be that there are scenes such as the one with full frontal nudity that seem unnecessary. Other than that, an outstanding series and you can never go wrong with the infallible Nicole Kidman. A must watch!

Awful Writing, Mediocre Acting.
26 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I feel like the only way to enjoy this movie is to leave your brain behind. There were so many plot holes in this film you could almost call it swiss cheese. I can't even understand how it got over a 3 star rating I'm guessing the higher reviews are from the people who worked on the film and their family and friends.

This comes across as an amateur student film project in how unbelievable the writing was. I know teens could probably enjoy this as for many their critical thinking isn't yet fully developed but an adult? If any adult enjoyed this film I have no words. Absolutely ridiculous in every possible way. The character was written where she has near zero survival skills. She hangs up her photos on day one like she's settling into her new home, drinks all the water within the first couple days, uses her phone like there's infinite battery life, has her brightness all the way up, doesn't attempt to switch out the phone cards until later, she has tupperware to keep her phone dry but instead keeps her phone out in the water, wastes a glow stick on the first day when it's light out, has a drill but waits days to use it, she eats her placenta before eating the snickers bar, she has a lighter but eats the fish raw instead of cooking it, goes back into the container while it's sinking while her daughter is up top and so much more.

Then to top it off there's the hilarious fact that steel doesn't float so you have to ignore basic science, then she gets cell service not only in the middle of the ocean but inside a steel container and the directing is odd too as sometimes the camera focuses on an object like it will be significant and yet it's done randomly without purpose. All in all a good laugh at least. 3/10 and that's probably far too generous.

Definitely Fun But Plot Could Have Been Better
31 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Went into this expecting some resemblance to the game but it was far from it. I don't mind when a movie takes on a completely different direction than expected whether it's based on a game, tv series or book but this wasn't as good as it could have been.

They had everything; excellent directing, beautiful atmosphere, great actors, etc to work with but the plot! Why!? The whole angle with the brother being taken when he was a child and the cop with her Father story just ruined what could have been an incredible film. They should have dropped all of that and instead had him working there, noticed sounds, movement at the corner of his eye, then noticed the animatronics in different positions, investigated, saw them move, they chased him, he ran into that surveillance room and then take it from there. It was so unnecessary and bizarre to incorporate the whole backstory with the children being inside the animatronics and how they wanted to take his sister, it made it silly and a bit ridiculous.

This could have been so much more entertaining and scary had they not strayed so far from the concept that made Five Nights At Freddy's so popular to play. Completely stripped it of all spookiness and turned into a watered down horror. However even despite all of that I have to give it a 7 simply because although disappointed, the film itself wasn't awful and I want to support it because if they make a sequel, I'm hoping they can turn it around.

The Gabby Petito Story (2022 TV Movie)

Movie was disrespectful to Gabby and her family but movie was okay
22 July 2023
I really delayed watching this film because to me it's sickening that they could do this to the family and to Gabby. They not only rushed to make this to get money in their greedy hands but they didn't give any money to the gabby petito foundation at all and if I also remember correctly the family did not give permission to make the movie so with all of that in mind, it is impossible to give it higher than 4 stars out of 10. Aside from that, I think the casting was good although I do agree with others in that the actress that plays Gabby's Mom looked too young, they could of cast someone slightly older because she looked 30s and more like an older sister. But they got several things wrong in this film like how she hit Brian first when the witness had actually said Brian hit her first, etc. Overall okay film but not accurate and disrespectful so they should have either not made the film at all or at the very least waited a while longer.

I'm giving it a 7 for great use of low budget
9 June 2023
This film had a TON of potential so on that it was disappointing as it could have been so much more than it was however with that said, I still enjoyed it quite a lot as it was definitely well made for a low budget film. So many zombie-like movies have been made about viruses and so many fall short or lack professionalism on one part of the film typically it's the acting or the directing but this film was good on both. The plot was also interesting despite it not really going anywhere, that's the main issue I had with the film but still entertaining and worth the watch as it provides decent quality fun for low budget.

Slighty above average film but don't watch with English dub
8 June 2023
I had to watch it dubbed in English but expected the dub to be good like any other english dubbed film out today, that was not the case for this film. The English dub is possibly the worst I've ever heard in any film. The people they chose to do the voices were awful and turned a drama into a kid's comedy. Seriously it felt like I was watching a straight up comedy film because the voices were so ridiculously over the top and awful as they didn't match the ages of the characters and it was not natural sounding. They used a grown woman for a little boy's voice and a young woman for the older woman playing the mother. Absolutely could not get past that at all. Made what should have been a serious drama into a joke. You could have hired anyone else and it would have been better than this. Aside from that, the film itself was decent. The acting from all was fairly realistic and I think it was an interesting take on bullying with a twist.

UNDERRATED Film
28 May 2023
This movie was way better than I expected. I'm shocked it doesn't have more reviews? I didn't even hear about it until recently put it on just to pass some time thinking it would be okay but nothing great. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, it was completely engaging and kept me interested throughout. I couldn't even look away from any of it for a minute. Good acting, good directing, amazing storyline. So refreshing to watch something good for a change. Ignore the negative reviews, they're likely from teens with short attention spans who can't sit still for more than a few minutes at a time. Watch it!

Awful Awful Awful
5 May 2023
This movie was one of the worst I've seen in a while. With low budget it's always a hit or miss and with this film, it was a gigantic miss. I didn't go into the film expecting much, thought it might be okay at best but this was just awful. The writing is atrocious in every possible way from start to finish and the acting from most of the cast was horrific other than the main male lead, he was the only decent skilled actor in this film. As for those few reviews claiming this is superior or above average in any way, those are likely from the family and friends of those involved within the production of the film.

A Movie Where Nothing Happens
27 June 2022
I sat through this entire film hoping that at some point something interesting would happen but nothing does. I understand it was likely an amateur low budget film but there was just nothing remotely interesting going on. Overall it was more comedic than anything else but not in a good way. Just seemed like it was made rather quickly without any direction of where to go with it from the start to finish.

I really didn't care for this film at all. The acting, the writing, the directing, even the sound was all awful. Nothing about this film was enjoyable even for a B style Horror.

Could have been written better
5 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The overall storyline was engaging but the writing wasn't as great as it could have been. Everything unfolded at superspeed and there was no mystery or shock, everything was predictable from the beginning. The ending was so anticlimactic too. I would have liked to at least see her walk to the side walk to reclaim her freedom from not only the situation but from her agoraphobia as well. It also would have been more fulfilling if at the end she escaped with the jewelry box as evidence as the police showed up but it wasn't awful, an okay Into the Dark.

No Sharknado

I get that this film isn't supposed to be serious or have good special effects as it's done on purpose for good humor which is completely fine but the acting was just too awful for me and the fact the Mom looks the same age as her children and definitely isn't old enough to be their Mom made it impossible to watch.

NOT for PRE-TEENS or TEENS!
1 February 2022
I'm an adult but I really hope the people involved in this show know that minors are the ones watching this right now because it's target audience seems to be minors which is really weird and it's huge in the 12-17 crowd which is NOT good. This is way too rough to be marketed for minors and not at all a good influence on them. Adults aren't watching this, minors are. I just hope they know what they're doing to the children. That's all I came to say.

Well directed and liked the quirky indie acting but
19 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This film was really interesting in the atmosphere, it almost felt dystopian despite it being modern day and the acting and directing was excellent BUT unfortunately I had to turn it off halfway through because I got really grossed out and I'm aware of the accusations but how can you shame an entire family based on one person? It was just weird. I'll admit I don't know a lot about the Royals other than the basics and the rumors about one or two of them but unless there's evidence this is just creepy. Good directing though again can't deny that, this is the kind of directing I enjoy seeing. It feels like you're in the movie instead of watching it. Sorry I couldn't stomach the rest of it maybe another time.

Drew Barrymore was a minor when this was filmed
7 January 2022
That speaks enough for itself. How awful and disturbing to allow this film. A man in his late 20s nearing 30 paired with a 16 year old child? How disgusting can you get? Awful, should be condemned.

Could have been good, what a shame.
7 January 2022
This movie had a great cast, an interesting and entertaining idea but unfortunately the writing and directing was awful. The beginning starts off comedic and dopey which was a turn off because I wasn't in the mood for a movie like Shaun of the Dead (great film but different genre-comedy/horror) but then you think maybe it'll get a bit better, it does for maybe 10 minutes and then spirals into I don't know what. The dopey comedy exits but then we're left with dullness. And something that strongly confused me is how the writers decided to not build up a single bit of chemistry between the characters which could have easily been done by throwing in a few questions between them and sharing their life stories, anything but instead it was redundant nonsense and the ending? Why? It could have at least finished stronger but it just flat out died. I'm really disappointed because the idea was so intriguing to me and could have been really great.

Good Film
9 December 2021
I think a lot of people will go into watching this film expecting a standard, fast-paced, filled to the brim with horror cliches plot. If that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere because this is a slow burner horror/scifi. The casting was decent although I didn't particularly care for their choice of actress for the sister. Her acting was convincing but somehow didn't fit well with the rest of the cast. The main actor was brilliant and believable and the overall plot and directing made for an immersive experience. I won't reveal anything but despite the general mood of the film, I thought the ending was thoughtful, beautiful and cleverly done. Good film.

The acting was the worst I've seen in a long time
22 November 2021
Not one person could act out of this cast, it was unbelievably bad. I could not make it through the whole film because it felt like it was a bunch of high school students acting out their first play. Awful.

Slightly Above Average but Could Have Been Better
13 October 2021
I just want to say the acting from the two main characters was incredibly good as well as the acting from the security guard, I think they've been in a lot of movies so they have experience but the couple waiting for the elevator were awful, worst acting I've seen in a long time no idea how they got the okay as it compromised the film. The concept was good but the way they went about it was not the greatest. I just feel like it could have been done a whole lot better but still I thought it was alright, definitely not bad at all.

Great Show! No idea why some of these reviews are negative.
6 October 2021
I can't fathom the negative reviews. It has a similar feel to it as the show Lost and half the audience were split in their rating of the show yet it went on for 6 successful seasons and is now still talked about today. I'm not saying this show is going to be as successful because I honestly have no idea but the first episode was well done for sure and it has high potential. The plot is excellent, writing and acting is decent and it's incredibly entertaining. Excited to see what's next!

A Boring Show Where Nothing Happens
27 September 2021
There's literally nothing going on. I could stare at a wall and get the same enjoyment. The cast are okay, acting is decent but the storyline, there is none. The original Roswell had so much going on in every single episode, it always kept you wanting more at the edge of your seat. This is ridiculously boring and it's sad because I wanted to like the remake but it just fails. There's nothing to keep me interested at all, would rather watch a commercial.

Lol what was that???
27 March 2021
This movie had really great potential, the first 30 or so minutes seemed interesting enough but as it progressed it made less and less sense until the ending where there was no ending. Lots of loose ends, lots of plot holes, continuity errors etc. It was fun in a comedy sort of way because by the end you'll be laughing at how nothing makes any sense.

Horrible Writing
10 September 2020
The writing is all over the place and there's no cohesion whatsoever. It's completely horrendous. I watched through to the last episode only to see what happened but I could barely make it. I have no idea how this even got the green light to produce.
