13 Reasons Why: College Interview (2020)
Underrated Episode
This episode shouldn't have this low a score it's one of the better episodes of the season in my opinion the scene with Zach and Diego is excellent and Ross Butler is fantastic in it, also everything they did with Clay, Ani and Justin in this episode I thought was really investing and emotional,
I don't understand the hate for this episode to be honest 8.1/10
13 Reasons Why: Graduation (2020)
Best episode since S2E11
Dylan Minnette was impeccable this season, this episode and episode 6 are where he really shines and possibly gives one of the best performances of his career. They perfectly encapsulated the raw emotion the characters would feel from the death of Justin (whom Brandon Flynn also plays excellently) and it was a sad ending for one of the better characters of the show, Justin is probably the best example of character development throughout all 4 seasons. Clays Speech and then speaking to Justin's ghost was right in the feels aswell and to be honest I don't think the show could have ended better. My 2 favourite shots in the episode have to be when Clay and Jessica are both alone at the funeral feeling the same and showing unconditional love for each other as they've both lost the love of their lives and the final shot with Clay and Tony in the red mustang ending the show with no dialogue, No intensity but a calm silence as they embark on the rest of their lives,
Season 4 on the whole is hard to judge as the first 4 episodes really drag whereas the last 6 are the best the shows been since season 2, I'd have to rate them in half
Episodes 1-4 5.2/10
Episodes 5-10 8.7/10
Captain Marvel (2019)
Critics are wrong, simple as.
This film was a very fun blockbuster action film and I don't not think it's nearly as bad as critics have been saying. First of all Brie Larson gives a fun and charismatic performance, I thought she could've done a bit more with the character but her performance and her respect for her comic self was fantastic. The CGI was phenomenal especially for the de-aging of Nick Fury and Phil Coulson, it genuinely looked real and flawless. The style is fun and light hearted which is exactly what I think this film should have gone for and it makes for some very amusing scenes. The movie does have problems, the second act was nowhere near as fun or entertaining as the first and third and it sort of dragged until the third act picked back up, also I think some of the action (while it was on the whole great) was at points too close up and too quick cut and I would have preferred more spacing and length in the shots, however I'm not going to discredit the opening action scene as it was very entertaining and that's what this film is in a nutshell, typical Marvel entertainment. I really liked this film and it does not deserve some of the criticism it's been receiving.
Triple Frontier (2019)
Decent film with fantastic acting
One of the best feelings about this film is the uneasiness it gives you by making you think anything could go wrong at any particular point.
In terms of action it's sparse but well handled, the film is mainly carried by the 5 actors that played the main protagonists, The standouts being: Oscar Isaac and Garrett Hedlund. It's more of a film about focusing on these 5 very different and broken people as opposed to a typical action film which took me off guard considerably.
Where the film faltered for me was the pacing and structure of the first act which felt slightly slow and choppy. All in all I do really like this film and the director and actors and everyone who made this film deserves praise for creating a solid gritty suspense film. It's just if the first act was structured a little better I would truly be able to call this a great film.
