Fatal Attraction (2023)
interesting idea
I wasnt sure how well it was going to go. After a slow start, it grew on me. I really ended up enjoying until....
The very last episodes. Why make his daughter a crazy stalker too? They very easily could've had a pretty well done series without all the extra of making his daughter be off balance. I suppose it's so they have opening for second season but the whole side story just ruined it for me. I kept hoping they'd tie it in to relate to her fathers case but it was all laid out slipshod. I'm still really annoyed lol. I think yhey should've had the wife be the killer. She'd have most reason and she seems smart enough that she could've gotten away with it, it would've made more sense that the guy helps her get rid of body as opposed to being the actual killer.
Rabbit Hole (2023)
This show is WILD
I started watching because of Keifer but the cast has been superb so far! So many twists and turns already, if this season keeps this pace I may need to have my heart checked lol. I love it because you can't look away, not only because you don't want to but because there's so much going on and can't miss a trick. Some parts of it are a reminder of how easy it is to manipulate reality to the point of being uncomfortable.
There's some parts where it seems obvious where storyline may be going but I hope to be pleasantly surprised as the weeks go on. I can't wait for next week to watch more of it, glad premiere was two episodes.
Criminal Minds (2005)
Evolution is Amazing
I've always loved criminal minds and was devastated when it was canceled. The new updated version on Paramount plus is fantastic. The change to focus on one main storyline plus the leeway to be more grotesque and detailed is a wonderful change and lets it be everything it had potential to be. I appreciate in the new format, they have been fleshing out more of agents' personal lives without making it cheesy.
I was a little sad that Matthew/Reid chose not to come back but that's understandable, overjoyed that so many of main cast are still on here though. I look forward to remaining episodes and onto season 2!
Alert: Missing Persons Unit (2023)
Annoyed they bumped "Found" for this
I'll start off with I reallllly wanted to like this show. It has a really great mix of cast. The premise of them finding not only missing kids but also other missing people seemed like it would leave many show lines for them to explore. However it went off the rails very quickly. It just jumps all over the place with no build up of them really searching for their own missing son. Just bam he's missing and then within minutes it's years later and they're split and in new relationships. Oh and hey look our kid is found once mommy and daddy are at same agency now.
Then they added a mysterious issue where is it really their kid? But don't worry that's answered in mere minutes. There is literally no rhyme or reason to this show or any plot lines. Plus there's only 6 episodes?! I'm so annoyed they bumped the show Found to fall for this garbage.
Acapulco (2021)
Cute little show
Love this show! I don't understand all the past hate in reviews. It has lots of funny moments mixed with a lot of heart warming ones. My only negative is while the characters are great, although they tend to get a bit repetitive at times. But this is not meant to be some "deep" show altho there are a lot of life lessons along the way presented in background of the comedic moments.
Each of the characters has their own lovable quirks and personalities but Memo is my favorite. It's a nice way to escape reality for an hour each week, I hope it is renewed again, can't wait to see where it ends up going.
Ghosts of Christmas Always (2022)
Not what I expected
This ended up being a really sweet and different type of movie. I enjoyed it quite a lot. The characters were all well done and the angels were hilarious. It was some fun nostalgia seeing Reginald VelJohnson again <3 , honestly they could put him in all the new movies and I wouldn't complain!
Of course it's a cheesy Hallmark movie and you need to suspend disbelief but I got kick out of a storyline that wasn't the usual predictable girl leaves her corporate job for a tree lot attendant back home. Overall I found this very heartwarming.and it was an enjoyable way to kick off the holiday season.
