The Run (2017)
Once in a while kind of documentary
I like watching documentaries occasionally, this is one of the recommendations from a friend of mine. It started of quite good but as and when it paced, I got really involved in the journey. It's a very different sort of sports doc, not very common and especially has a fundraising element attached to it. It unfolds slightly dramatic elements later but it's quite obvious to happen when The Run is that tuff! I think all in one, its a very captivating documentary with many tiny little scenes. I love the idea of directors point of view and especially the music chosen for it. It gives a goose-bump feel towards the end. Watch It!!
UNindian (2015)
What an attempt for a romantic crossover between the two countries!!!
The Film has got very interesting characters, especially the character of Meera's mother, Savita, such an adorable, jolly and funny character she has. The director has chosen the right and the funny way to show orthodoxical thinking differences between the cultures of two different people. As in you'd laugh as and when the film evolves. Even the character of Meera's daughter is another adorable one. Brett lee's performance is an added delight for the audience. I have to say the storytelling was very very interesting and light-mood one. A must watch!! I watched it on Stan, don't miss it guys!!!
Final Destination 3 (2006)
Great thriller concept and better sequel
This is a great story as far as thriller is concerned. This part of the movie series keep us at the end of the seat with nail-biting sequences and also gives a reasonable reasons after every death. Less confusion then the other parts and great performances. I do like the editing, it has come great jump-cuts. I didn't really find the songs and music that engaging but in all 6 out of 10 could be a decent score.
Born Into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids (2004)
Intriguing characters and their story
Born into brothels is a very innovative idea for the documentary. Zana Briski has done justice with such a topic being picked up for the documentary. The journey of the kinds from the brothels is very realistic and has a very strong impact on the viewers. We need more stories like these which uplift the needy kinds like these. I really liked the treatment of the documentary. Music is very light and sets the mood as per the geographical location, Calcutta. This documentary is worth winning an Oscar. Magnificent work done by Zana Briski and her team.
Dil Dhadakne Do (2015)
Well performed and well executed story-line
A multi star cast film with great great performances by all the actors. The story carries a great message and simultaneously it has the element of natural entertainment. Though it is a family drama film but well-executed and not at all cliched. I can binge watch it anytime because of some fantastic scenes of 'Mehra' Family. Most importantly I will mention, the entire film is shown from a perspective of a 'Dog' which is out of the ordinary. Not a film to be missed.
