Just Go with It (2011)
One of my faves but the storyline is far fetched
I love this movie, have done since it was released.
I just despise the storyline. I know it's a movie but realistically no one meets a man, his ex wife, his kids, flies off on holidays and gets married to a guy within 2 weeks.
Great movie but very hard to not scoff at the TV lol
Family Reunion (2019)
Falls flat pretty quickly
This came up as a suggested item and i thought I'd chance it.
I'm all for comical shows that dont require a huge amount of concentration but this one requires more concentration to stay interested in it.
The kids are over acting and it doesnt seem natural. The grandparents arent believable with their archaic child rearing techniques. Tia Mowry is the only one with any real acting ability and will absolutely be the only reason this pulls in any sort of viewership.
I've watched many shows with a live studio audience and its quite irritating when they overly laugh at things that arent funny and seemingly whoop and cheer when instructed.
Finished episode 2 and dont think I'll continue on.
If you want to watch a heart warming, funny, family show, stick to Blackish and Modern Family.
Jane the Virgin (2014)
I remember now why I stopped watching
I watched the first season when it came out and stopped but couldn't remember why.
I picked it up last week on Netflix and watched from the start and suddenly remembered why.
Jane is an entitled, weepy, attention seeking pain!!
All of this overly protective "I have to put Mateo first" is complete bull. No parent is that over protective and that worried about the person they're co parenting with.
Would like to see more realistic relationships with new characters and less of Rafael who has as much personality as a wet tissue.
9-1-1 (2018)
Really Entertaining and dramatic
I stumbled on this on a tv app while looking for something new to watch and I really like it. It's a bit different to Chicago Fire (which I love) in that they stay on a particular drama or rescue for a good chunk of the episodes rather than for 2 minutes then back to their fire house or the bar. I don't understand why firemen never leave for a call with their gear on - that baffles me.
I like the storylines, really dramatic and more than likely not true to life but entertaining. Can't wait for episode 5
