Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver (2024)
Zack Snyder should stay away from writing
Zack Snyder should stay away from writing and storytelling.
Yet another display of bad acting cringing dialogues.
Too many blur effects and fisheye throughout in the movie and too many slow-motions effects. I had hoped the second part would have been better, but the story seemed to be more meaningless.
Zack Snyder should not write stories and should limit himself to filmmaking or in envisioning other writers stories. Rebel Moon stands in great contrast to Dune, which is more artistically simplistic and aesthetic.
I felt it to be another waste of time. I did not enjoy part II of Rebel Moon.
Hijack (2023)
A good start but....
A good start but then everything gets stupid and silly. Why so many layers of twists to the point where the storyline works against itself to the level of stupidity?
Actors doing a good job here, but the story becomes too silly. The first three or four episodes are promising, but after that the story descents radically to the point, where you just want it to finish, so you can move forward to watch something else.
They should have kept the story simple and straightforward. They should have hold on to keep the story realistic and authentic.
Character development was great, but that was the only good thing about Hijack.
Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire (2023)
A mess of a movie
What a mess.
In its attempt to be an epic story it entirely messes everything up with exaggerated effects and messy and naive storyline.
There seems to be no originality in this movie nor anything to make it stand out from others. The script and dialogues are cringingly mediocre.
The movie seems to be too hyped up, but does not deliver anything but disappointment. Some fight scenes do look impressive, but shadowed by the poor and thin storyline. There is no background story and everything relies on the poorly executed and confusing story, that makes one wonder why to have wasted more than two hours on this film. The story is scratched on the surface with no depth at all.
Why the Irish accent?
I was surprised to see the that the director is Zack Snyder.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor (2022)
What a mess
Not aiming for greatness but a mediocre attempt to tell a story that can have a lot more potential and development by spanning it over more seasons. Throughout the episodes they feel less Star Wars and more of TV studio settings.
Scenes are childish and superficial.
We need George Lucas back to Star Wars.
The Darkest Hour (2011)
Why did I watch this movie?
Pure waste of time. Not worth watching. Poor story and too predictable.
The Woman in the Window (2021)
So predictive...
I had already picked the son as the killer after the murder...there was no suspence and the acting from the son was cringingly bad.
Jupiter's Legacy: By Dawn's Early Light (2021)
Power rangers superheroes kitsch...
Compared to The Boys, Jupiter's Legacy seems way too cartoonish, unintelligent and clumpsy.
A Power Ranger-ish superhero kitsch TV series.
Why bother?
Ghoul (2018)
Waste of time
Anything you haven't seen before. Repetitive and meaningless narrative, and especially bad acting from Ratnabali Bhattacharjee, who overdoes her role completely, and appears fake, cartoonish and dumb.
Nothing interesting about this mini series.
Your Honor: Part Six (2021)
It was going well...
....up until the end scene of this episode. Why can't the writers do something bold and let a key person die (like Ned Stark in GoT)? and evolve and develope the story from this point? The end scene was ridiculous. I will stop watching from here.
Either end the scene how it should end emotionally, or don't have the confrontation at this point at all.
Chernobyl (2019)
A brilliant masterpiece
Well-performed and well-written. Encaptures the critical moments, cold-war politics, bureaucracy, personal dilemmas, the aftermath, and the human sacrifices surrounding the devastating Chernobyl catastrophe.
Highly recommended.
Black Summer (2019)
Had potential..
...but embarrassing bad in many occasions, where the immense level of stupidity is overwhelming. Not only shown by some of the characters (Lance), but also the in scenes with crossfire, which seems to bend the rules of logic. Poorly written in many of the important scenes.
There were some enjoyable scenes, but in the end of the day everything ultimately turned out to be a disappointment. Watch only the first 3-4 episodes which are acceptable, the rest becomes mind blowingly dumb.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Intelligent and well written
Intelligent and well written. Great character development and sublime acting.
Into the Night (2020)
Stupid
It is not worth watching. The bacground theme is interesting
although unrealistic, as the sun does change polar every 11th years, but the radiation would still be active during night. The characters are showing bad decisions in an attempt to give the story some conflicts between the passengers.
#Saraitda (2020)
Absolutely ridiculous
Stupid acting and stupid decisions made by the characters.
Joker (2019)
Sticks much deeper than you expect
Philosphical approach and giving a viewer an insight how an innocent and troublesome mind can go mad. You feel the pain and anger in the justifications of actions performed in this masterpiece. Giving a morally complex and paradoxical taste of the jokers mind.
The Mandalorian (2019)
Does not feel right...something is out of place...
I have always been a star wars fan. Seen all the movies since my childhood and played many games...but something feels wrong here. There is no main story arch and some of the effects and scenery seems to be clumpsy and far from genuine. It feels like Star Wars sometimes, but then again bad acting and bad lines makes it far from the real deal. I had hoped it to feel like a 'Game of Thrones' quality Star Wars TV series. The music is also far from John Williams sound, which in my opinion is also part of the Star Wars feeling.
I am a bit disappointed and it feels like it is being too hyped up. I was sincerely hoping for something better.
Malevolent (2018)
Waste of time
Stupid, predictable and simple waste of time. The story unfolds to be a dissapointment and too many cringing bad judgment shown from the characters.
