Murdoch Mysteries: Love or Money (2021)
P U !
Just not sure if it's a bad story, bad directing, or just bad altogether. Maybe it's a parody, and I am missing the puns. Either way, the directing seems off and the story isn't good,l. Did I mention the weirdly horrible camera shots?
The Great Escapists: Ship Wrecked (2021)
Shipwreck Is Right
Speaking of shipwrecks, this show's a huge wreck from the very first scene. it's a menagerie of Top Gear, Myth Busters, and Grand Tour in a similar setting as Gilligan's Island, with two professors, and an unbelievable abundance of 'working props' that magically wash up on the beach to keep the antics alive.
Star Trek: Discovery: There Is a Tide... (2020)
The Crescendo of this Season?
Seems like the hole season has been multiple sequences of recycled scripts from other Star Trek series. Quite possibly a Kobayashi Maru designed to save the whole series.
Star Trek: Discovery: Terra Firma, Part 1 (2020)
What's this story giving us?
I fail to see what these two shows are adding to the story.
The Great British Bake Off: The Great Festive Bake Off (2020)
Such a Train Wreck!
This episode is an absolute waste of time. Don't bother, because it's such a slap in the face to all of the amateur bakers who actually work to get a competition spot in a regular season episode.
Doctor Who: The Timeless Children (2020)
It's all a LIE?
Are you kidding me? Which part is fake and which part is real? After all of the times, where the Master has lied to the Doctor. You're asking me to take a leap of faith and trust everything stated by the biggest villain for the Doctor. Seriously? Does anyone expect the fans to fall for this? I mean, you've just asked us to toss out everything like it was yesterday's news.
Doctor Who: The Haunting of Villa Diodati (2020)
Is the Doctor a true historic inspiration?
Trust me, this episode falls short of the mark, when it comes to convincing anyone how the Doctor can always be around to fix historic moments, by giving them a subtle nudge in the right direction. From my standpoint, this is another weak attempt by the writers, to place iconic monsters into a point of history where the Doctor fixes things just in the nick of time. Unfortunately, this show ends before we understand what's truly happening. I'm guessing has more to do with poor writing than a continued "Master plan." And as a bonus we also got another sermon from the Doctor. STOP PREACHING!
Doctor Who: Fugitive of the Judoon (2020)
A Return to Doctor Who?
There's so much going on in this episode, that I just can't seem to wrap my head around all of the parts. Ever since we were introduced to Jodi Whitacker, I've been waiting for a story that ties in classic monsters. Unfortunately, the Judoon are also re-introduced along with Captain Jack, a character who we haven't seen on the series for ten years, and we get smacked in the face with another Doctor.
Here's my understanding of this episode. The Judoon are just there to keep the true Whovian's interested. Also, let's not forget how the writers just decided to toss in Captain Jack as a story vehicle to lets us know we're getting more classic monsters in a future episode. The real conundrum of this episode is the introduction of another Doctor, who seems to be from an unknown time-line. Why? My guess is this has something to do with the Master, who was mentioned at the beginning of the show.
Doctor Who: Orphan 55 (2020)
Future Seems To Be Full of Current Day Politics
The writers of this series need to review their priorities. You're either entertaining an audience or preaching your political agenda. I for one do not watch sci-fi shows to be reminded of current affairs. Please stop preaching to me!
Doctor Who: Spyfall: Part One (2020)
No Special New Years Special
The grand reveal at the end of part 1 forces me to add another star; however, it is somewhat reluctant, because this show seems to be a disastrous return to previous season.
The Romanoffs (2018)
Couldn't make it through the first episode.
There are too many distractions in this show. First and foremost is the fact that every character in each scene can speak English, yet the dialog constantly flips between English and subtitled French.
