D&D now means Dumb & Disappointing

So incredibly stupid and boring. Found it very difficult to even stay awake, let alone keep my interest. Hated everything about it. My family seemed to enjoy it, but this is clearly not my thing. My husband gave it a 8/10. I enjoy the game, but this was just overly cheesy and predictable. I just don't understand why people think it was so good. I'm a big fan of Chris Pine, but this was probably his worst movie ever. I suppose for those of you who enjoy Monty Python, you will likely enjoy this movie.

Dune (2021)

Best movie of the year...to help you fall asleep

Worst movie of the year! This is WW1984 of 2021. It was so slow and boring, then I find out after the movie was over that this is only part 1! Not going going to see the 2nd one. The only other movie I can say was worse than this was Zoolander 2. I don't understand how this movie has such good ratings because out of the 4 people I went to watch this with, only 1 had good things to say about it. Absolutely pointless movie, don't waste your time. Go see Ron's Gone Wrong or No Time To Die instead.

Wolves (2014)

Worse werewolf movie of all time. Very disappointed, especially for a Jason Momoa and Merritt Patterson film. Not sure how people can give it a 6 or 7, definitely surprised to see 10s!

The King (I) (2019)

Where do I begin? This movie was incredibly slow and boring, which is crazy since most of it involved battle. The lighting was terrible, the acting was only ok. There was a lot of fiction in this movie, that really didn't add any greatness to it at all, so it defeated the purpose and left us with this garbage. Don't waste your time.

Uh, HOW is this show getting such good ratings? There are so many other incredible shows that don't get a second season. The previews for this show are annoying. My husband and I watched an episode(or tried to)and it was like nails on a chalkboard. How can a grown woman act so insane and not be committed? This is one of the worst shows I have ever tried to watch. I have to change the channel every time the preview comes on for that show because it annoys me so much. Her behavior is absolutely ridiculous and so not funny. I need a Harry Potter wand to turn it into something funny with the Riddikulus charm that's used on bogarts.

Black Panther (2018)

Snorfest

I have tried watching this movie at least 10 times, a few times in the theatwrs and then at home now that we own it. Every single time, I fall asleep in the same spots. I wake up every time somewhere(always the same)then fall back asleep. I still have not seen this full movie beginning to end. I have admitted defeat and don't really have any interest in trying again. I don't understand how people credit this as the best Marvel movie ever....in my opinion, this movie is highly overrated, definitely the worst Marvel movie(including The Spiderman movies with Tobey Maguire, Fantastic Four kovies, and The Hulk movies), and just plain borning.

Dumbo (2019)

I Want A Baby Elephant!

I am probably the biggest Disney fan you will ever meet. I even worked for Disney. For me to say that I like a remake or live action better than the original, is very rare and a very big deal. It was an incredible story! I really hated the Pink Elephants On Parade song as a child. It scared me and I had nightmares. I loved the way they did it in this movie, and Dumbo's expression while it happened was just too precious! Amazing movie, great for the whole family(or in my case date night). I was skeptical when i first saw the trailer last year, but when you have Penguin and Batman in another Tim Burton movie together, it's bound to be great. I seriously left wishing I had a baby elephant.

Mortal Engines (2018)

Boring , Don't Waste Your Time

I fell asleep 30 minutes into the movie. I woke up 30 seconds to the end. I couldn't find a single character that I found I liked. It wasn't relatable. It also didn't feel like it was believable, even in a futuristic apocalyptic world. My husband was really excited about this movie, I went into this movie with very low expectations. He even said when i woke up that it was lacking. He didn't really enjoy it. When you have people who did Lord of the Rings doing this movie, you would expect more from them. Definitely missed the mark on this one.

Robin Hood (2018)

Predictable, boring, slightly confusing

I just finished this movie and was disappointed. I'm giving it a 6, which is TOTALLY overly generous. I was so confused. Based on some of the attire, mannerisms, activities, weapons, and such, i felt like I was watching a futuristic dark ages movie. Some of the costumes the men wore looked like a very well tailored suit and stitch work that could only done buy one amazing sewing machine. We al know the tale of Robin Hood with all the movies and tv series, but where were the twists? How can you keep us on our toes and not bored? The truth is you can't. It was the same story we've seen and heard many times over, so incredibly predictable. I was expecting better from a great cast, but it was disappointing.

The Grinch (2018)

The BEST Grinch movie EVER!

I am not quite sure why the overall rating is a 5, because this movie was amazing! It was funny, cute silly, heartfelt, and inventive! It will just absolutely melt your heart, the same warm feeling you get with hot cocoa in the snow, and give you that Christmas joy(unless it is made stone and two sizes too small) A great modern tale to the classic Grinch story. Fantastic and appropriate for the whole family. A great way to kick off the holiday season with all your favorite Christmas songs! I absolutely loved it!

A Star Is Born (2018)

Too much hype for a mediocre movie

The trailers for this movie were very misleading. I thought it was going to be about how a famous country singer finds a girl and inspires her musically, challenging her, and falls in love in the process. The movie seems to be more about his demons and how she tries to help him while starting a challenging music career. The trailers looked like this was an inspirational movie. Honestly, one of the saddest movies I've seen in a while.

Just a little forewarning: there is a lot of drinking, drug use, and cussing. Every other word was the f bomb. At least there was no nudity. Bedroom scenes were very brief. I really don't like Lady Gaga, but The acting was great and the music was incredible. Was the movie overall good? Yes...good, not great. This type of movie is just not my cup of tea. Another overrated movie to add the the list. Don't believe all the hype, it really wasn't that great.

First Man (2018)

Slow but good

This movie was incredibly slow and long. It was also very loud. Earplugs recommended. Also it was very sad. A lot of death in this movie. Not sure how much of this story is true(the personal life of Armstrong)but overall, a good movie. Ryan Gosling is so overrated, but he did a good job. I recommend it and would see it again, with earplugs and tissues.

Fun Size (2012)

Cheesy but funny

It reminded me a lot of the 1987 film Adventures in Babysitting. It seriously irritates me when a parent acts like a teenager, and the kids have to grow up too soon to take care of the parents. It just hit a little too close to home for me. There were some funny parts and a lot of cheesy ones. Not a family film, so don't watch it with the kids. Not that great of a movie, but an alternative to the horror fest of men killing teens with knives, saws, chainsaws, etc, and there are some lessons to be learned.

The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)

Actually kinda scary!

This movie is rather creepy and scary! I do not recommend this movie for children under 13! I'm surprised that it's PG! Without spoilers, this movie has some of The darkest evils, bullies, meanness, blood magic, and a lot of creepy! I would NOT bring my nieces and nephews to see this. Parents: you will have children in your bed at night after watching this! Also, I definitely recommend that you see it first and can gage how your own children will handle this movie. For those of you wondering: it was Not really like Harry Potter, more like Goosebumps, Haunted Mansion, Matilda, Series of Unfortunate Events type movies.

The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)

Kinda Scary, mostly creepy

The idea was fun and there were some good parts to it, but I found it rather scary. I would not recommend this for young children. There was evil, bullies, and just plain meanness in it that I was uncomfortable with. Not a lot I can say without spoilers. In case you're wondering: More closely resembles Goosebumps than Harry Potter.

Valor (2017–2018)

Not as bad as everyone is making it to be

Seriously what is with all the heaters? Of course you're not gonna get a show About military service to be exactly like the military. It is a TV show! yes there are some realistic things that need to be put into it and maybe they could do a better job, but it is not as bad as everyone is saying it is. Talk about overdramatizing the reviews and ratings of this show. Many of these reviews were based on the first episode! Not as good as some of the other new shows similar to this (like Seal Team), but intriguing and entertaining.

The Little Mermaid (2018)

It's NOT Disney's The Little Mermaid, Still cute though

So everyone is expecting the real life version of the classic animated movie from 1989. This is a different storyline that starts in a very similar way. I'm surprised this was released to the theaters! I think this was closer to one of those cheese ball Halmark tv movies that I usually enjoy. I love that Poppy Drayton from Shannarah Chronicles and William Moseley from The Royals! Their acting is much better in those shows, though. This movie wasn't as bad as everyone is making out to be. Yes, it's different and had some issues, but it's very cute. I'd watch this with my nieces over and over again!

Ocean's Eight (2018)

Pleasantly Surprised

I didn't want to see this movie. I went into it with super low expectations. When it ended, I was actually sad, I didn't want it to be over. I was shocked at how good it was. The only movie I've liked in this series is Ocean's 11, no others, until this one. It rivals with the former. I'm shocked at the overall IMDB rating of 6.9. I definitely recommend this movie.

Ready Player One (2018)

When my husband dragged me to see this in theaters, I brought a book! I kept saying this movie would suck! It had me from the opening! My new favorite movie of all time! It used to be Ever After, but now I can't get enough of this movie! I loved everything about it! I have it on every night when I fall asleep. I wouldn't change a thing! It's weird that I love it so much since I hate everything about the 80s, but this is was AMAZING!!!! I highly recommend this movie!

Cloak & Dagger (2018–2019)

Want to love it, just can't-Unispiring and no plot!

I am incredibly sad. I thought this would be an amazing show, but it fell short. It is slow, painfully slow. Just get to the point already! Like, seriously, there is no plot! I've never seen a show with people who have powers to be slow and uninspiring. I can't stand either one of the leads. They whine and complain about how life isn't fair, how they've lost people. We've all lost people and so many of us have been put through the ringer, yet life goes on and so should you! Stop whining, stop living in the past, playing the what if game the rest of your life. You can't change the past, but you can have a brighter future! I have seen shows in the past where the bad guy/rebel is actually my favorite character, but I can honestly say that I don't like anyone in this show at all! The only thing I do like is the cool opposite powers of each other and that it takes place in New Orléans! Come on Marvel, you can do better!

I thought this was going to be as dumb as the Sharknado movies! I couldn't be more wrong! Exciting Twists and turns. Reminded me a little of Deep Blue Sea in a small way. I loved this movie! I definitely recommend it.

Reverie (2018)

Boring and repetitive

It is a great concept, but poorly executed. I feel disappointed. I was expecting better. It feels too repetitive, not really building on the story. I'm was just bored by the 3rd episode. I realized my eyes had glazed over, and I had lost interest before the first commercial of the 3rd episode! Hoping it gets better, not yet giving up on it.

A Hot Mess, Disappointed in the CW

Where do I even begin with this hot mess? It is bad writing, bad acting, bad graphics, even the wardrobe is weird. The only thing any good is the fighting scenes. Very predictable. Basically everything is just terrible, especially for a CW show! Most of my favorite shows are from the CW, so why would they cancel some of my faves and bring in this turd?

Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

Shun the non-believers!

So many haters! How is this movie not even an 8? When we live in a world where people LOVE the Kardashians, how can you NOT like this movie? We live for drama and romance! While it is very much like a Cinderella type story, it was so well-done! This movie was amazing! My husband and I could watch this over and over! It's the new Ever After! I was skeptical at first and went in thinking it would be only ok. I was so glad to be proven wrong in my assumptions! I did give it a 9 out of 10 because it was a little too predictable, but I can't even say how many times I laughed! Yes, they're rich and traditional. They're going to be shallow!!!! They only value image, money, and traditions...not happiness. Ambition can be a good thing, or a bad thing. If it is not used to their standards, it is a weapon that could bring your own demise. The lead character is smart, charming, adorable, and the perfect girl for Nick! Great acting, great writing, and amazing overall! Shun the non-believers!
