The Out-Laws (2023)
Worst Movie Ever
Saw a trailer for this on YouTube. It looked very fun. Evidently they just took whatever amusing looking bits of the film they had and pieced them together to make this look like something worthy of watching. It isn't. It's raunchy and terrible in every conceivable way. If I had realized Adam Sandler had anything to do with this film, I would not have tried it. Very surprised an actor of Pierce Brosnan's quality would be involved with anything this bad. Not funny at all, just a lot of raunchy sexual references, vomiting, and a total disservice to anyone involved with this. Only made it through the first thirty nine minutes before throwing in the towel. Wish I had that thirty nine minutes back. This is my first one star review.
The Goldbergs: Adam Graduates! (2022)
This season should be the last
As a loyal viewer of the Goldbergs from the first episode, this season barely resembles what the series once was. A fun story about three kids growing up in the 80s, with an overbearing but ultimately loveable Mother, (a reflection of creator Adam Goldberg's childhood memories.) The series has had several setbacks in recent years. Adam Goldberg leaving the series, the loss of the late George Segal as Mother Beverly's dad 'Pops', and this season's ultimate firing of Jeff Garlin as Beverly's husband Murray. The loss of Garlin seems to have been the final straw. Without either her father or husband there to rein her in, Beverly has become entirely unhinged and thoughtless, bullying and badgering everyone around her until they comply with her selfish desires. Every single episode.
The series natural conclusion would seem to be youngest child Adam's high school graduation. Especially considering the series obviously has no new stories to tell now that the kids have all grown up. Yet, inexplicably ABC has ordered another season. It will be interesting to see just how many viewers come back for more. This reviewer will not be among them.
1883 (2021)
Must see for fans of Yellowstone
Excellent origin story to the Yellowstone series. Taylor Sheridan takes us on a journey that much like life is not all sunshine and roses. Lags a bit in episodes three and four, but is otherwise a very well told story.
Brockmire: Comeback Player of the Year (2020)
Where is this going?
Have watched Brockmire since the beginning. The series has always been wildly profane, but until this final season it's also had a lot of heart and soul to balance that. This season has been terrible so far and seems to be going absolutely nowhere. Just a negative future with a sober and incredibly dull and unlikable Jim Brockmire. Very sad to see the series go out this way.
How I Met Your Mother (2005)
Worst Series Ending In History
The series teases you for eight seasons about who the Mother is, only to absolutely let you down with a soul crushing series finale. Will leave you wondering why on earth you wasted even one minute watching it.
Mother's Day (2016)
Skip the film, stay for the credits
The ending credits are sprinkled with cute outtakes, and are the only amusing bits of this painfully contrived movie. The plot is onion paper thin, however the actors do an amazingly decent job, due to Garry Marshall's directing abilities no doubt.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)
Please don't waste your time
Life is really too short to waste two hours on this horrendous film. The first Kingsman was a clever spin on the 007 genre. Can't imagine what they were thinking with this mess. Channing Tatum seems embarrassed to be a part of it. I made it through the first hour before giving up completely. It is definitely nothing like the original in terms of quality.
