Scream VI (2023)
The dead don't die
As I've seen in some of the other reviews, most of the movie is really good and plenty entertaining. Much better than episode 5. However, the last portion of the movie really almost blows all the good that was done for the majority of the movie. I swear that the killers must be ex stormtroopers because they can't hit the kill spot even with repeated stabs. Sure the killer has body count, but It's frustrating and down right stupid when a character that should be clearly dead isn't. Even when the victims are seriously wounded, they are up and running around in 15 minutes or less. Why do the Scream writers want to insult us like this?
La Brea (2021)
Had possibilities
This show is SOOO poorly written. It goes from extremely predictable to downright WTF? The concept itself had possibilities but it's pretty much been ruined with little chance of making it more interesting. The acting is fine, the actors are meh, but the writing... I can't say enough how bad it is. I'm honestly surprised it was renewed for seasons 2 and 3. If you haven't started it already, do yourself a favor and don't. There are much better options available anywhere else.
That being said, it's just watchable enough, and since I've already wasted 2 seasons worth of time, I might as well finish it. UGHHH.
Chapelwaite (2021)
Better than Midnight Mass!
If you liked Midnight Mass, which I did, this is well worth the time. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was hooked after the first 2 episodes. Have looked forward to every episode there after, but had to keep myself from binge watching. LOL. If you're looking for a creepy, brooding, horror series, then give this a try.
Spell (2020)
Could have been better
Could have been a better movie if it didn't keep bringing up some type of racism or anti police remarks. Please leave CNN on the news channel. Not in our entertainment.
Prodigal Son: You Can Run... (2021)
Fictional story
Might as well watch until the end, but they keep wanting to interject CNN politics/racism into a fictional story. Perhaps that is why the show has met its own demise...
Prodigal Son: It's All in the Execution (2021)
Fictional story
Truly enjoyed watching this show until the writers decided to do a CNN storyline. Keep it fictional please.
Mayans M.C.: A Mixed-Up and Splendid Rescue (2021)
It's fiction
The writers need to stick with the fictional storylines and keep the CNN politics out of it.
The Man in the High Castle (2015)
Disappointing end to promising series
Seasons one and two are captivating. Could have done without the scifi twist, but still very entertaining.
Season 3 still good but not as good as it should have been.
Season 4 was pretty much a waste. You can't introduce a new resistance faction, who somehow happens to be better than all the other resistances combined, into the final season and expect the viewers to embrace them. The ending was so bad. Who were all these other travelers who came through the portal? Nazi's were dying in bunches because there was a version of themselves already in the "new world". Yet hundreds or thousands from the other side, came poring in like it was a opening day at Disney Land! Why would they want to come to a Nazi controlled world in the first place? Horrible!!!
Would have given it a better review, but I also couldn't let the last season completely determine my rating.
The 100 (2014)
Awesome show, but...
This has been and still is, one of my favorite shows since the beginning. I love shows with story lines that make you look forward to next week to see what happens. This show is one of them. Great cast of characters with new and interesting additions as the seasons progress. Just an all around awesome show! However, I don't understand why they've turned Clark gay or bisexual. Other than trying too hard to pander to a broader audience, I don't see the point? If the story lines are great, and you have interesting characters, everyone interested in that kind of entertainment will watch it regardless of their sexuality. Anyway, looking forward to the future of The 100!
