The Man from U.N.C.L.E.: The Neptune Affair (1964)
Season 1, Episode 11
Here's why the word was dubbed...
20 November 2006
The original word in the script was "freon". After the episode was in the can, this trademarked word had to be changed.

Apparently there is a minimum of ten lines required here, so I'll just repeat myself. The original word in the script was "freon". reviewers?
8 January 2006
It's amazing how many people here are pretending to have seen this movie. They're making all kinds of factual errors and don't fool us who have seen it for a second. I thought IMDb offered this space for honest reviews, not flaming editorials. Someone said the audience gets to see the characters' "packages" a few times, which just isn't true. The only nudity (on the men's part) is from a long distance when they're jumping into a lake.

I saw the movie two days ago and was moved by it and impressed with the performances. But any movie would have a difficult time standing up to all the hype Brokeback has received. When I saw the trailer a few months ago I knew nothing about the movie and was blown away by it. I kind of wish the movie had sneaked up on me like that, without my knowing so much about the story. All the comedians doing the "I wish I knew how to quit you" line and others have kind of ruined it. There were few surprises. Next time, Focus Pictures, release your movies all over the country, all at once. That way comedians and reviewers can't ruin the experience for the majority of us who don't get to see it until a month later.

This truly is a love story. I think we're starved for serious love stories. All we get from Hollywood is romantic comedies.

A gem of a movie
10 September 2005
A situation comedy of errors with lots of sight gags, a who's who of character actors, and a heartwarming ending.

However, I don't understand the "goof" listed above: "Errors in geography: Both the US and Russian maps show Gloucester as an isolated island, which is clearly not the case. There is also the implication (in the film) that Gloucester is not connected to the mainland, also not the case."

How can this be an error when Gloucester is a fictional island? The map looked like Nantucket stood on its end.

Better quotes for this movie are:

"Emergency. Everybody to get from street." -- Russian landing party "We've got to get organized!" --Jonathan Winters "Muriel, whatcha doin' up there?"
