This was a good first movie made from a videogame. Let's face it this is an origin story, the characters are younger. It's not going to be exactly like the games.

But in my opinion it had enough in common with them to make it an uncharted movie. And like most I was kind of puzzled about Tom holand and mark in the roles before seeing the movie. But if you can get over their ages and see them as less experienced younger versions, I think it works.

I had a fun and exciting time watching this movie and I hope they make more, they can flesh out the characters and build the world. Origin stories are always hard. But this was good.

After only seeing the pilot it is hard to see the worth of the entire series but I have to say this is the first star trek since enterprise that has the "star trek" feeling and has a message of exploration, hope and progress instead of an action filled dystopian nightmare.

And in my opinion that is exactly what Sci-Fi shows have needed for a long time. I'm sick of dark sci-fi, I want hopeful and feel good sci-fi.

I'm actually exited about star trek again.

I don't understand why people think this movie is good. It was boring and slow. I honestly could not keep interest in the conversations long enough to feel invested in the plot. Pattinson did a good job as batman, but honestly the movie was way to deep and dramafilled, which is not what you want from a batman movie.
