Kia mate a Ururoa - The Shark of war (2022)
Excellent documentary about a remarkable war hero
Yes I am biased, I am related to the Leaf whanau lol but this is a documentary well worth watching. The Maori Battalion was a very formidable force that caused fear into the minds of their enemies. I am sure there are loads of stories to be told from these fearless soldiers and I would love to see more documentaries made. Harding's story is particularly special since he fought in WW1 and WW2. He was respected by all that fought along side him, his story deserved to be told and I am glad this was made. Thank you to the people who helped create this movie!
Perhaps a documentary about Maj. Huia Woods could be on the cards? :p
G Woods.
Midsommar (2019)
Great film! Best trip since fear and loathing in LV lol
**SPOILER ALERT**
This movie was a trip alright! watching the trees and food on the table wobble around in some scenes :)
Ok, my only gripe with it was the ending, I think having the form of a Norse God come out of the fire or appear in the clouds would have make a huge impact to the ending. Why were they doing this secret ancient tradition every 90 years if it really had no outcome? I still loved it but I think the appearance of some deity would have given it a more freakier ending :)
Das Boot (2018)
A dam good solid War Drama series! Don't listen to the moaners :)
Yes I know there are a lot of people bagging this series for its lack of hardcore action. I for one was slightly disappointed in the lack of action at sea but overall it is a really good series and I would highly recommend it to any WW2 buff
