Rock, Paper, Scissors (2018)
Everything about it is awful.
Firstly I watched it from start to end as it was recommended on prime. Secondly, this was painful to finish.
The acting is not great. The storyline is not that great either. It's really sloppy. Don't get drawn in because of the rock paper scissors gory picture, that does not even happen in the film.
It's corny. It's really cringe. At one point the main couple are looking for a black truck. The lady is saying it must be around here somewhere, while she looks at what I presume is a paper map. The husband then points to the only truck in miles. Could that be the truck? You're right, it is! What a coincidence. Had the lady opened up her eyes she would have seen the only vehicle for miles being that black truck they are looking for. RIP to those 90 minutes I'll never get back. The other reviews are giving it a 9 or a 10. I really can't see how this even has a rating of 7 as it's dire. Maybe these are pandemic ratings when we were scrapping the bottom of the barrel for any kind of entertainment.
The Suspect (2022)
Very poor.
This is a very poor program of things that just wouldn't happen in real life. From the very first episode when he gets out on a ledge (because the police have told him to) to everything. None of this would happen in real life. The police randomly asking a person to go to a morgue to do a murder profile. Absolutely ridiculous. An insult to anyone who watches it.
Also, the main character has been diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's. The extent of this was shown when he had shaky hands or the odd shakes in his foot. Parkinson's isn't just people shaking. Very, very poor research has gone into that.
Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country (2020)
Another "look at my wealth" show
How anyone finds this entertaining is beyond me. There is a cost of living crisis and "celebs" flaunting their wealth is really gross. I watched an episode whilst working a night shift. What a waste of time. My fellow worker wanted to crack on and watch the other episodes but I declined. I actually went looking for work to avoid having to watch it.
The mother is spoilt her kids are spoilt... it's just beggars belief that programs like this are considered entertainment.
This is just one programme of a plethora of stars bragging about their wealth and making an attempt at living "the good life" it's awful viewing.
Elizabeth Is Missing (2019)
Acting is amazing.
I don't think I have ever written a review before but after watching this I felt compelled to.
Glenda Jackson's portrayal of a lady who has Alzheimers is played fantastically. I have worked with people with dementia/Alzheimers for 20 years. When programs like this come out I always watch and criticise because some performances are laughable. But this one was relatable on so many levels.
