Paranoia Tapes (2017)
"I'm just gonna put these in whatever order I see fit."
This thing was awful. It starts with a tangentially related video straight from Youtube. From there, imagine "V/H/S", but the clips are limited to 3 minutes of aggressively unpleasant people bantering and sometimes killing each other. Uncomfortable and unpleasant to sit through, even after the Columbine footage.
Pinkie Pie's Special Day (2007)
Useless
If one was interested in this series, they would find that this 11 minute episode is 1 minute of ponies waking each other up, 8 minutes of flashbacks with generic voice-overs explaining what happened in other episodes clips, and 2 minutes of credits. I'm not even being harsh when I say it's useless, it's just nonexistent if you take out the flashbacks to other episodes. That which exists is a little less than passable in writing and animation. The voice acting is fine, but the lines they are given are forgettable and bland. Overall, even for die-hard fans of earlier MLP, this is a quick skip of a "movie". It won't hold the attention of children if they have seen the episodes it flashes back to, and even if it did, it would only do so for a pittance of minutes.
Girlhouse (2014)
A bad movie with a few good points...
Good Points:
-Not terrible characters.
-The acting is decent.
-Very good acting and emoting by the killer is great and it really is one of the high points of the film.
-Engaging enough story and script, if cliché at points.
-The creepiness element from the killer is well done, as is the build-up to his anger. All within the realm of believability.
Bad Points:
-The depiction of nudity and sex is expected, when it comes to the plot, but it goes above what is needed for the plot and into being thinly veiled porn itself. Far too excessive for my taste, having not been done non-sexually or reasonably.
-The horror aspect is not subtle when it comes to gore or blood. May be your taste, but not mine.
Overall:
I would love to see this killer in another movie, as the psychological aspect is better done in this movie than the stalking horror aspect. The dialogue between the main couple about the morality of the GirlHouse is quite good, as is the Rear Window reference at the beginning of the scene. All in all, I cannot suggest the movie due to the graphic sexual content, but the progression of the killer is more than the movie deserves.
