The Acolyte (2024)
A decent show - extreme reviews by biased fans as always...
This show is better than Ahsoka in my humble opinion, so far at least. Ahsoka was TOO slow and pretty much nothing of importance happened throughout the season. It was just nostalgia and fanservice that made people give it such high ratings.
This show right here has some potential, we will see if it delivers as the episodes come out. People are throwing a fit over women and LGBTQ representation -as always- and about the Jedi not being presented as the perfect gods who make no mistake.... which guess what, they weren't...
People had decided before it came out that they would hate it and that's just it.
Ahsoka: Part Six: Far, Far Away (2023)
The best episode so far
Probably because it didn't show much of Rosario's super stoic Ahsoka. If i had to watch another 10-15 minutes of Ahsoka slowly turning her head left and right and nodding i swear to god. What happened to her?? She wasn't like that in Mandalorian. Sad because i love her as a character but not in her own show as it seems.
Anyway, this episode had a very good Thrawn, and Ezra (both very similar to Rebels' animation of their characters even their mannerisms) and very beautiful cinematography. I also liked this new species we met, those turtles were interesting i hope we see more of them.🐢
Overall a good episode, finally.
Ahsoka (2023)
No feeling from Ahsoka
Ahsoka is super stoic now I guess.
Sorry but Rosario didn't make me feel anything in this tv show so far and Ahsoka is one of my favorite characters. The scene with Anakin, I expected to be emotional, but it didn't make me feel much. Their Rebels encounter held so much more feeling and they were animated there dammit.
The show looks good, but the storyline so far is pretty boring imo (long conversations with Sabine, saying the same things over and over again.. ). I expected way more from Filoni.
The bad guys are pretty interesting but so far we haven't seen much of their potential as well. The only lightsaber fight I enjoyed was the one in the forest between Sabine and Shin.
Sabine's actress is very good and seems like she did her homework, she has all the mannerism of Sabine, same expressions, everything. On point.
Hera.... honestly, did they just paint Ewan's wife green and called it a day? Come on Disney you have so much money, add some prosthetics. She doesn't remind me of Rebels' Hera at all.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
A good start BUT what's with the anti-leftist propaganda?
I loved all the Bucky scenes, he's one of my favourite characters and the Winter Soldier flashback was everything i needed....BUT....aree we trying to villify people who want a world without borders now? Because so far i'm rooting for them you guys... I'm not into militarism and this is the only thing that's REALLY putting me off because i love the characters, i find them decent people. I'll wait to see where they're going with these Flag Smashers (lol)...
The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (2020)
Star Wars as it should be
Favreau and Filoni thank you from the bottom of my heart After the mess that ep9 left us with i thought my hopes for the future of the franchise started to faint but this show and this finale restored these hopes in the best way When people create something with love and care it shows More of this pls
I Am Not Okay with This (2020)
not super original, but overall super entertaining!
I understand people who say this is a mix of Carrie and Breakfast Club and whatnot but nothing is completely original anyway... This is a good show, totally binge worthy and i loved that the episodes were short (perfect for people with short attention span like me), I only wished we had more episodes... The season ended leaving you wanting more and like the first season was just an intro. I think it has a lot of potential. I also loved the LGBTQ representation, it wasn't clumsy or forced at all imo and we need more of that.
All the actors are very good too..
Can't wait for season 2!
Supernatural (2005)
God-awful finale
The ending of a story is very integral and this ending was the laziest thing i have ever watched in my life. The only show you can watch the first and last episode and nothing has changed, a disservice to the characters and all their development. No Cas, no found family and friends, Dean dying like an amateur from a nail (lmao) after he defeated God himself and of course not a single woman in sight, even Sam's generic wife was shown blurry in the background for 5 seconds. Dean deserved to live a happy full life with Cas and his brother. Sam deserved Eileen (who was never ever mentioned) and friends. Cas deserved someone to tell him that he was loved too. It was all so lonely and depressing. Truly prefer 15x19 at least it was left open and they seemed happy and we can just assume they went off to find/save Eileen/Cas.
Sherlock (2010)
Should have stopped at season 2
Mary Morstan was an amazing character played delightfully by Amanda Abbignton but even she couldn't salvage the show. Season 3 was ok and season 4 jumped the shark with the introduction of the secret sister, which made no sense and I don't think the writers ever planned that ahead. There were no hints for that in the earlier seasons.
Also, thouldn't have killed off Moriarty so soon, because Andrew Scott's portrayal of him was the show's best asset. Moffat and Gatiss never explained to us how Sherlock survived and laughed at the audience's face for even trying to figure it out.
8 stars because the first 2 seasons were great. I'll try to pretend it stopped there.
Dracula (2020)
An awful mess
I've never seen a tv show jump the shark so fast. At least Sherlock was good for 2 whole seasons before it deteriorated. Here you only get half a hour of decent eerie atmosphere and writing before it all goes to hell. Agatha and Dracula's banter was so boring and irky that i wished they kill each other and be done with it. Third episode is a parody. Moffat and Gatiss need to take a super long vacation.
