007: Road to a Million (2023)
Done well then edited badly
I have only watched 2 episodes of this show but I am already thinking this 'could' of been so much better, as have most of the contestants shown at a later stage and how they got there, which obviously meant they had done the challenge and got the question right so absolutely no drama.
There are parts that show the challenges as they happen and this works so much better.
I hope the later shows don't have so many spoilers as it really makes a potentially good show really rubbish.
It really is a lost opportunity that a big budget show like this has no idea on how to do drama and should take some notes from some of the more superior shows such as the traitors etc.
Coming 2 America (2021)
I remember when Eddie Murphy was funny
But this is just absolute rubbish, not sure if it was even meant to be funny. If not then they succeeded.
The Good Liar (2019)
Fairly predictable
This is an OK movie with 2 good lead stars that just didn't seem to gel. It keeps you interested, but it's fairly predictable from the beginning where it was going, albeit with a couple off odd twists. Overall a half decent film deservingly getting a half decent score.
Hunters (2020)
Still waiting for something to happen!
This sounded so good, but in reality was so poor. One and a half hours (a film!!!) and nothing happens. So disappointed and if you have anything else to do like painting your ceiling or watching paint dry then you really should rather than watch this rubbish
The Outsider: Fish in a Barrel (2020)
Started well
I have watched the first 3 episodes and the first episode was excellent, but the next 2 have just been so slow with nothing happening and no real story on what's going on. I feel that they are just padding out a story that could have been great if over a shorter amount of episodes. I'll no doubt watch the next one and hope it ups the pace
Dracula (2020)
Classic Dracula
I grew up on hammer house horror films and love the old Dracula films with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
This starts with the usual castle in Transylvania but soon goes off in some neat twists and turns and each of the 3 ninety minute episodes are quite different. But lots of gore and dark humor make a classic mini series and lets hope they make more in the future!
Ghosts (2019)
Remember rentaghost
This is the same as rentaghost, but oddly on at 9:40pm, it's ok for kids and fine for a 6pm slot, but it's made for a much younger audience and just seems wrong showing a kids show after the watershed. It will no doubt fail, but could of been a hit if shown 'much' earlier!
Watership Down (2018)
Disappointing animation
Having watched the original in the cinema at the age of 12 this film made quite an impact as didn't pull any punches and was a genuinely scary film.
This remake follows the same basic story albeit a more watered down version. But I can't see how this cost £20m to make as the cgi/animation is very poor especially of the rabbits themselves to the point where it is impossible to tell most of them apart.
Overall if the new generation want to watch this I would recommend they also see the 1978 original.
