Hernán (2019)
Handsome Conquers
I am personally in love of the conquers. Thanks Amazon for bringing us these hansome and charismatic men to the screen. As a Mexican I have read about the history and being in the hot spots in Mexico City, but watching it in tv helps a lot to understand it. Even so, is too soap opera style.
Monarca (2019)
The role is too big for the starting role
Supporting role actors are too much stronger than the starring Irene Azuela, the serie is good but she seams weak, similar to her role of a woman with a bigger position than her. I just don't get it. There is something in the lighting that her mouth looks black and dirty. Rosa María Bianchi, Juan Manuel Bernal and Osvaldo Benavides are splendid.
A Tale of Two Kitchens (2019)
Excellent, I just wanted it to be longer.
My favorite restaurant on screen. Love to see the ownership of employees, I live in same neighborhood and watching it is like being there, opening every day with big enthusiasm and the service is perfect. Mao and the team are the best!!!
Is very human what Gabriela Camara does for society in Mexico City and San Francisco.
Roma (2018)
Offensive
Because a native Mexican is the star, does not mean is an interesting movie. Mexican classism again present, but there is not a positive message, historic approach or deep cultural reference. We can only rescue the good art direction to understand family mexican lifestyle in one of the most know neighborhoods of mexico city.
Is offensive and bored.
Made in Mexico (2018)
Bored
I couldn't finish. Pathetic Bored. The only good part is the panoramics of Mexico city, great photography direction. Is about Mexican, but with 2 expat, and everybody talking mostly in english.
