Public Enemies (2009)
A Fascinating Look at the FBI's Hunt for Notorious Gangsters
Public Enemies is a stylish and immersive crime drama that tells the story of the FBI's efforts to take down notorious American gangsters during the Great Depression. Johnny Depp delivers a standout performance as John Dillinger, and Christian Bale is equally strong as FBI agent Melvin Purvis. The film does a good job of capturing the mood and atmosphere of the time period, and the direction by Michael Mann is top-notch. However, some viewers may find the film to be a bit long and may feel that the portrayal of historical events is somewhat oversimplified. Overall, Public Enemies is a solid choice for fans of crime dramas and period pieces.

Captain Phillips (2013)
The modern pirates
We are used to hearing all the fairy tales stories with pirates searching for treasures on an abandoned island, having one wood foot and so on. I am not saying those stories are not true, but they belong to the past. This movie pictures one of the modern stories of pirates, sealing on the International waters pretending it's theirs. And Captains and crew are helpless, carrying the cargo being unprotected, while 4 pirates of this kind with munition can get on board and play the game.
Outstanding performance of Tom Hanks in this movie playing Richard Phillips from the start till the end. The scene that I found the most accurate was the last one, when he acted appropriately to the state of sock, barely saying some words.
The story has some fine details that really happened, for instance the broken glass to have some air on the lifeboat, but în the actual story, the captain of the pirates didn't go to the navy seal boat to negotiate, but to get some medical help, his health was în danger.
The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996)
Great autobiography of Larry Flint
I had no idea who was Larry Flynt before watching this movie. But the verry good plot of the movie shows the world a different kind of hero. A hero of the free speach. I liked the actors, they were a perfect fit for the main characters. The action goes slowly into the subject and makes the. Some say that Larry Flynt made America a better place, well I woldn't necessarily say that, but we can take his actions as a starting point for a better place.
I really enjoyed the performance of Woody Harrelson who embraced a dirty subject and acted in a great way to express all the emotions of love and hate of the main character of the movie.
