No Return (2022)
Gut-Wrenching Teaser
Outstanding and developed script with unexpected twists, turns, highs, and lows. Noah, played by Louis Ashbourne Serkis, shockingly portrayed all the motives of his young, immature, but questionable character. I was looking for a little more dialogue, but Serkis is very dramatically expressive and had me on a rollercoaster of varying emotions and tears. My heart sank at the ending, a must see! Sheridan Smith carried the weight of the series and did an excellent job communicating the main objective of her character as Noah's mom. A little more direction would have covered up a few poor character choices here and there but overall, a 9/10. Perfect for audiences who love a dirty drama and want to get down to a gritty verdict.
Renegade Nell (2024)
Filler
I was let down. The set, makeup, and marketing pulled me in, until I realized there were historical inaccuracies. I'm not sure if the idea was to play out the American Civil War with pirates and brigands from France and England, but that is how it came off. ...Awkward. Louisa Harland is an actress newly in the spotlight, but her portrayal of Nell is almost emotionless and leaves much more to be wanted. On a good note, Disney executed some excellent fight choreography that I think children and families will enjoy. I am not so sure about the the light orb. I think that was supposed to lure the audience in but may have backfired.
Alice in Wonderland (1999)
The Shield Of Faith Ephesians 6:16 The Bible
This made-for-television adaptation of Alice In Wonderland is a true gem in every language! Its artistic vision is timeless, even though audiences may find its humor too dry.
Justin Bieber: Seasons (2020)
The Shield Of Faith Ephesians The Bible
I like that Justin is continuing to use his platform for making the world a better place! This series is extremely vulnerable with, as much breadth, as depth.
3 Ninjas Kick Back (1994)
The Shield Of Faith Ephesians 6:16 The Bible
This is one of my favorite movies! If I were a ninja or martial artist, I would love to be a part of this film! The story line is compelling and more family friendly than the first movie. All of the main characters are so cute and memorable!
Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (2011)
Family Fun
Perfect starter film for a megastar with several heart-warming moments. It does not hit a sour not for its intended audience, who are mainly pre-teen and teen millenials. Never Say Never delivers an authentic snapshot of Justin Bieber's musical career, merely from his professional circle of influence alone. I would not rate the film G or PG, as it goes beyond its score in some mature imagery. NR is most appropriate, since its documentary form suggests personal moments that television and other forms of media may not indicate as suitable. I highly recommend Never Say Never to pop-centric individuals and families who enjoy light-hearted entertainment.
Justin Bieber's Believe (2013)
Gotta see to believe it!
Believe is for mature audiences only. The film presents grit and rawer emotion that had gone fairly undocumented in Never Say Never. Justin Bieber directly addresses topical controversies head on, revealing moral truths and the facts of life about his premiere as a young superstar. Believe is mainly a rebuttal to all of the nonsense that follows popstars and their celebrity. Bieber is spotlighted as a male figurehead and pioneer of the Arts, despite the negativity that harangues him at the global level. Believe is suspenseful and will have one trying to catch their breath in all the Hollywood madness and tomfoolery.
The Real (2013)
Strong Mixed Feelings
Girl Chat informs me. I love that segment because Tamera and Tamar often get to the truth of the discussion topics, especially the ones about romantic relationships if they don't get cut off by the immaturity of Loni. Loni and Jeannie are responsible for low ratings. They clearly do not share the opinion of most viewers, and that's obvious in the YouTube comment sections. Loni is consistently vulgar and sets a bad example for women and girls in general. Loni, also, behaves childishly and indecorously when it comes to mature topics, especially topics about marriage and sex. She is also the last person who should give advice about marriage and relationships because all she does is mock, belittle, and criticize established couples. Jeannie is trying too hard to fit in and doesn't relate to the audience well. Most things she says are off-the-wall, especially about her relationship with her husband and her opinion of slutty females. I love Adrienne and her Latina spice. She's comedic relief from all the fighting, and her wardrobe team always dresses her in the cutest outfits.
