Rupert and the Frog Song (1984)
Absolutely Adorable
This animation film is so well done! My kids are now in their 20's but still insist that this was one of their favorites when they were young. It's content is clean and adorable. If you have kids it's a must for the DVD collection. And even if your an adult you will probably like it. It would make a great de-stress movie for someone who has work burnout etc. It definitely shows that Paul McCartney & his wife have talent in this area. A good addition to your collection of kid boredom busters, along with your Richard Scarry books and your Fraggle Rock movies, which my boys also adored. McCartney's can be proud of themselves on this one!
Regarding Henry (1991)
Corporate Workaholic Jerk gets Second Chance
I absolutely loved this movie! It really tugged at the heart. And dealt with issues of social status and what is really important in life. It helps us remember to take time out for what's important and not to give up when things look impossible. A good addition to your DVD collection! A movie my hubby and I BOTH liked. Even though I don't know if he would have liked it when we were a much younger couple. Very good acting, Bill Nunn was awesome in this movie as the physical therapist. And the little girl, played by Mikki Allen was very believable. A much better choice when nothing is on T.V. Pretty clean movie, only P.G.13 which is nice. A keeper!
The Spanish Prisoner (1997)
Twists and Turns
Keeps you guessing till the very end.Definitely a good one for the DVD library. The only acting I felt was a little stiff or odd was Rebecca Pigeon's but it did not affect the film over all. A sleeper that not too many people seem to know about. Great also is the fact that you don't have to worry about sex, blood or much violence in this film.Which is why it is P.G. They don't have to use cheap sensational tricks to keep you interested. Since this film uses quality, not graphic, raunchy content to sell this film. David Mamet can be proud of this one. A much better choice to throw in the DVD player, when there is nothing but junk on T.V.
