The Hangover Part III (2013)
Not as Funny but a Fitting End
Plain and simple, while this movie wasn't nearly as funny as the prior installments, I felt like this had the most character growth out of all of the films. I honestly enjoyed this one even if it wasn't as good as the others, and I finished the movie feeling that this was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. Could it have been better? Absolutely, but at the end of the day I was just glad to see all the characters, how they have grown, and that they ended up in okay places. It tied up all loose ends from the series and like I said it left the viewer with a satisfying and concrete ending which is better than most films can do in 2023/2024. If I had watched this movie a few years ago it probably would have been a 5 or 6 out of 10 however based on the current state of movies it is jumping to a 7 haha.
One Piece: Romance Dawn (2023)
Netflix Finally Did It!
I don't really know what to say about this other than I really enjoyed it. I will admit you do have to give it 10min as the first few min so feel a bit rushed and it goes by a little too fast in my opinion however after that it gets right into the meat of the story. The characters are great and there is a lot of heart and emotion to them which I really liked. I really hope the rest of the series is as good as this first episode. This show won't be for everyone I mean some of the characters are very cartoonish which isn't surprising considering the source material however it can take some getting used to. I think it is well worth pushing through though. I really hope this is successful as I want to see more and experience the one piece story in its entirety for myself as I am not caught up on the anime.
Moon Knight: The Friendly Type (2022)
Even better than the last!
I just want to start out by saying that this episode is by no means perfect. The beginning of it feels very choppy and just out of place. However, that does not last for long. After about 10 min this episode finds its footing and it runs with it. It hints at another personality which is super exciting! I'm assuming Jake Lockley or maybe Khonshu taking over but that is yet to be seen. I really liked this episode because I felt that everyone had a very great character moment, Steven, Marc, Layla, khonshu and even Arthur. I loved the pain in Khonshu's voice when he said "I remember every night." I am curious to see if Marc will have second thoughts on freeing him in hopes that he can free layla from the potential fate of being the next candidate. I am very excited to see what more this world has to offer and if it connects to the MCU how it does.
Hawkeye: So This Is Christmas? (2021)
Very Entertaining!
This was a very good finale. While the writing was choppy in some bits that fact was easy to get by. By this point in time you most likely know what to expect from a Hawkeye episode, whether you are enjoying the show or not is up to you so I'm not going to linger on that. For me, I enjoyed this show and this episode. I would have given it closer to an 8.5 except I feel that the messed up Kingpin. He felt very cartoony and nothing like he did in the daredevil series. Plus his voice just comes across as awkward and out of place here in comparison to the other characters. It's like he's too edgy for this show but they can't go into that. Which is exactly the reason haha. Daredevil was much darker than Hawkeye and also had a Tv-MA rating. Plus I felt that it was a poor decision to bring kingpin back just to sugggest that he could possibly be dead now with maya possibly having shot him.
Ojing-eo geim: Mugunghwa kkoch-i pideon nal (2021)
A Very Entertaining First Episode, but now flawless
I found the very first episode of Squid Game to be very entertaining and well put together. In my opinion it spent a little too much time in the outside world rather than in that of the game masters however it kept me engaged the entire time and that's what matters. In the end my main complaint was that the main character is very annoying. He's always complaining and is just an idiot. I'm hoping this allows for some character development but if it doesn't then he may be the death of this show.
WandaVision: Breaking the Fourth Wall (2021)
"It was Agatha All Along"
Monica is finally becoming photon! The Agatha Harkness Review! A Reference the the Nexus!!!! And now the kids disappeared which means possibly Mephisto? (That last one is a stretch since it hasn't been confirmed or denied) Such a great episode! I found last week's to be quite disappointing. This was a huge step up though!
WandaVision: Now in Color (2021)
Best Episode Yet!
To be honest I was hesitant about this show, especially after the first two episodes, however the episode set up a lot of plot. For all the comic nerds out there, it'll set up 100x more than those who watch it without prior story knowledge however it is still just as interesting. Right from the beginning of the episode, the pacing picks up quite a bit. Then they really begin to show you that things truly aren't right in this world and the others are aware of it. I am excited to see what the next few episodes hold!
Wiedzmin (2007)
Great Story w/ gameplay that has not aged well
Long story short. The story of this game is phonemonal. It excels in all areas that define an RPG! However, the combat is terrible. It really draws out the game and makes it horrendously slow. It is definitely a game you can learn to love. However I played it for the story and the story only. It's gameplay does not compare to that of The Witcher 2 and 3.
Ash vs Evil Dead: Second Coming (2016)
Very Entertaining but lots of plot holes
It was an entertaining episode, however it makes no sense. Seasons 1 and 2 should have been prevented because of the ending, same with the movies, and everyone who died should be alive. So, why does everyone remember it and in the future the only thing that is different is that Pablo is alive and the evil is gone?
Predestination (2014)
Great Film! Nearly Perfect!
This movie is a load of fun! It is a thrill ride that I found incredibly enjoyable. The score is great, the story is well done and the script is great too. The only flaw with the movie is the end. It's not that it's bad, it's just very easy to see coming. By the time the director reveals to you the twist, you have already figured it out. Other than that it is really good! It definitely isn't for everyone but I think that it is a film that any sci-fi fan should see at least once in their life!
The Evil Dead (1981)
One of the best Horror Films Out there!
Let me get started by saying, no I am not here because of the hype. I just happened to stumble across this movie and was blown away! Sam Raimi does an incredible job crafting this masterpiece. I'll admit, I jumped quite a few times with some of the jump scares, and I laughed my butt off. This movie is soooo funny! The camera angles are absolutely beautiful. I don't know what they did but it worked so well. While there were a few moments that I felt were kind of cheesy, i still enjoyed it. Especially since they were purposefully cheesy and ended up being really funny. In all honesty I think that this movie isn't for everyone. However if you are a fan of Sam's films then you will like this. I would say it's okay for teens 15 and up. There is only one scene about 26 minutes in that you may want to skip but if not it's not that bad lol. You see a nipple for a brief second in a non sexual context. All in all a great film! I would highly recommend!
Krypton: Light-Years from Home (2019)
Best episode yet!
Season 2 starts off with a great start! Already you can see the difference between this season and it's predecessor. The seasons has a lot more action scenes, more locations and a brand new character. LOBO! I have been a huge fan of Lobo for a long time. It's always a joy reading the comics involving him and I personally feel that this a great live action adaptation of the character! I can't wait to see what this season has in left in store! While from a critics standpoint it isn't the best show out there, it is still a good one. Any DC fan whose read the comics will appreciate this show. (yes I realize this isn't based on a comic book but you will recognize the characters)
Krypton: The Phantom Zone (2018)
Decent Finale
Pretty good finale. There were lots of twists that I didn't see coming! I really enjoyed it. However Lyta is really annoying and I kind of hold her character dies lol
Supernatural: #thinman (2014)
Underated Gem
Truthfully this episode wasn't nearly as bad as everyone says. While it may not factor into the plot of the whole season, but it ties up a loose end. It goes back to the whole essence of what supernatural is. It shows really strong characters that drive the plot along with Sam and Dean.
Overall while I did think that the episode could be better, I thought it was a nice tie up to the whole GhostFacers story line. It ended it very nice and smooth and I liked that.
Long story short, this episode isn't for everyone, it's either you like it or you don't. To me, it's an underated gem and I give it a 8/10
Knives Out (2019)
Fun mystery has funny moments but is predictable
I went to see this movie last weekend with a friend, and I've got to say that I had fun. There were a few parts that had me laughing pretty hard. When the movie was over, I felt underwhelmed. It's obvious who the killer is from the start of the movie which makes it predictable. The cast is outstanding and I love that each and every one of them has a very distinct and unique character! Yet, overall it was just lacking. Spoilers ahead: truthfully I don't think that Chris Evans Character killed his grandfather. Yes he tried to, but in the end, it wasn't him. But that's just a theory.., a film theory. Anyways, this movies a fun time but I wouldn't recommend going out and spending money to see it. Just wait for it to come out on dvd. Plus if Chris Evans character really did kill his grandpa and I hadn't been told a sequel was in talks, I would have rated this a few stars lower.
