The Crowded Room (2023)
Tom Holland deserves an Oscar
I had put off watching "Crowded Room" due to heavy subject matter but Wow! Once I gradually got caught up with the story line, I was hooked . Tom Holland's fantastic ever evolving dramatic characterizations was spell binding. It's hard to give a review and not reveal any of the story but it keeps getting better and better.
The story hooks you and you can't let go. All the actors are great but Holland definitely deserves consideration for any and all awards. He proved once again that he has serious acting chops that run deep. I can't wait to see what his future holds for him as his grows into his expanding talents.
Persuasion (2022)
Save yourself and watch 2008 version
Start by saying as a huge Austin fan I am a generous with stars but this is impossible to focus on any of the dialogue. The actor's constantly tslking to the third wall and Dakota's really bad attempt at an British accent makes it difficult to focus on what they're saying. I had to tap out after the first half hour. Would definitely recommend the 2008 version of persuasion if you want to hear Jane Austen's dialogue and delivery of her intention for a movie IMO.
Annette (2021)
So weird
So odd and unusual but it worth a watch anyway for Adam Driver and Simon Helberg's performance.
