Invasion (2005–2006)
9/10
Invasion aggravation
31 May 2006
The only thing about Invasion that sucks is the same as with Tru Callign there is no ending. I have emailed ABC and told them that I feel all shows should have an ending that is kept back and if the show will not be carrying on then the ending is shown. I did mention the Trade descriptions act as we are being told that the episodes tell a story but all stories have a beginning, middle and end, this has no end only a cliff hanger, that you will never know what happens after.

I'd be very tempted to boycott television, I feel it has become bad enough with so much rubbish and when you get a class show like Invasion and then this happens...why bother!

King Arthur (2004)
5/10
A very different twist on an age old theme
17 June 2005
If you are looking to revisit the age old story of King Arthur stop right now. If you liked Robin Hood Prince of thieves then you'll like this as it is a complete rehash of the story with Arthur fighting for the Romans. The action is good and the story holds together well. I did find that the characters were a little wooden but this could have merely been the sixth century feel coming to the fore. One real shining light in the film was Ray Winston who carried his character with a cockney whit that no one would have expected, he was what Friar Tuck was to Prince of Thieves, you just wouldn't have wanted to steal Winstons ale under any circumstances. So if you want an epic to sit through and enjoy then this is well worth it, but try to forget the Arthur you know as the story will pull you in many directions in its attempt to explain all the characters and how they fit into the story.

Thoughtcrimes (2003 TV Movie)
10/10
This film will leave you thinking...
17 June 2005
An excellent all round film, from its storyline to its cast. It has elements of X-Men meets Alias. The story runs well taking you from the very beginning to a mouthwatering 'want more' ending. All the characters have their own identities and allow you to understand their feelings and emotions without the need for the usual complex and barely believable plot twists to explain seemingly unnecessary plot rollercoasters. From early on you get very comfortable with the characters and find them very easy to follow and understand, the actors and actresses making this very easy. Special mention must go to Joe Flanagan, (Stargate Atlantis fans will recognise him) who plays a real feeling cop instead of the usual leading Robocop character who never puts a foot wrong, also Peter Horton, (from Sideout and 30something fame) who manages to balance compassion with trying to do the right thing for all people.

Give this film a chance, you will not be disappointed; just nervous stood in a crowd the next day with your thoughts running through your mind. Would you want everyone knowing what you were thinking?
