Znam kako dises (2023)
Hands down THE BEST series I've ever watched
A spectacular series, so in touch with its depiction of reality, it will have you hanging onto your seats for a good half of the total runtime (possibly even more). Naturally, in the last episodes the momentum sort of tricks down a bit but it is hardly sensed throughout the run of events. The emotional stamina of the cast is outstanding and they each represent their character as well as if it were a second skin to them. Despite the somewhat long-winded explanations and plot-twists, the story has much to offer and is unlikely to bore you, provided human pain, suffering, drug abuse, addiction, trauma, corruption, lack of justice, the feeling of helplessness in the face of the state/society at large, the values and sacrifices of motherhood (on focus) and parenthood in general, should be of any interest to you. It is in the end a story of finding yourself and choosing yourself before anyone else.
Indian Matchmaking (2020)
Please tell the Indians that Ankita is beautiful:D
Great show; it is extremely informative to find out how much the concept of beauty varies in different continents and cultures on the planet. The prettiest girl on this show was not at all considered pretty, nor photogenic by the matchmaker and her surroundings but if she were to visit Europe, everyone would wanna marry her for her looks for sure although she also had a great character and entrepreneurial skills etc. Ankita, if you are reading this, to you and all other pretty girls on the world who are not considered pretty in their own village, town or country, to you I say - it was the same for me, only I always knew it within me and once I went to the other side of the world and met people from all over the world I just confirmed what I had always known to be a fact - you are beautiful and if your (or most of your) surroundings right now don't appreciate that, it's their loss, not yours.
Virgin River (2019)
Jack - a detestable character deserving of your disgust
You'd be hard pressed to find a character as detestable and weirdly close to a real life portrayal of your average straight white cis male who naturally has no conscience and no sense of ethics or morale whatsoever let alone the meaning of what abiding by them means. It is nigh impossible to muster the strength to go on with the show once the viewer has seen Jack reveal himself for who he truly is - it was a struggle for me to make it all the way through to episode 6, not to mention that I do agree with the other reviews that if you need something to help with your falling asleep, that might just be your best bet, as far as tv series go. Not unexpected, coming from a Netflix production, which has these days become synonymous with low quality fodder for the masses, devoid of any substance whatsoever. I would urge you not to waste any precious minutes of your life on this, if you do have any ethics or morale as far as relationship views go, it will only serve to infuriate you.
Beef (2023)
No need to waste your time
The title has you expecting to see some actual plot being revolved but following the trail of this TV series will only lead you to feel disappointed and let down in a way. There is no point foreseeable to the "story" given here whatsoever - and if you do make the decision to give it yet another chance with the next episode and then the one after that, you just keep getting the same results, which is no result, really. Who is the target audience? Why is it aimed at any audience in particular? What is the message the author is trying to get through here? Even if you do get plausible answers to some of these questions, the chances of having had a pleasant experience from the hours you have forsaken at this piece of art will never be returned to you, alas.
Fleabag (2016)
Poignantly blank and soulless
Watching this show is nigh impossible. There is no catharsis and certainly no development. You will have to keep still through all sorts of intolerable behaviour, presented in an almost unimaginably disturbing way. The only "presence" that comes on screen is provided to the viewer through the admittedly palpable chemistry between the main character whose name we never learn (which must be an attempt at vain originality), and the only adequate person in this whole show. However, there isn't anything quite deep about that either.
Young Royals (2021)
An insight into the souls of two beloved
You will fall in love with the characters and the chemistry between them, it's scorching!
It starts out in an unbelievably interesting way, we meet the emotional circumstances of all characters with a focus on the main one, but then as the episodes progress, the series find it a bit hard to keep the viewer's attention as high as it initially had been.
All in all, a rare gem among this generation's senseless and fake romance portrayals, here we have a real insight into the souls of two beloved.
