Just watching to see criminals cry

The mentality to sympathize with criminals will never cease to confuse me. The constant repeat of "Their brains aren't fully developed blablabla" drives me nuts. I don't care how old you are, everyone knows murder is wrong. Oh you are sorry? I don't care. Oh the defense lawyer thinks you've changed? Nope doesn't matter. You kill someone, you ended a life, you have now given up your right to live in society.

Shame on the defense attorneys who tried to free these criminals.

The best part about the show is seeing the life sentences get reinstated and the criminal cry like they actually thought they were getting out. That is very satisfying.

Unpopular Opinion I guess

I don't totally hate this show so far. I've read a bunch of the bad reviews, and I went into the show thinking it would be complete trash. Now pushing aside my hatred for all things glorified Hollywood, I thought Depp's performance so far (2 episodes) was decent. Troye Sivan has surprised me before in his acting, so I have a feeling his character will evolve into something worth watching. The Weeknd...I mean dude isn't an actor and his teeth freak me out so I don't expect much from him. He might sink the show, we'll see. All that being said, I'm gonna stick with it. It might suck or it might be worth the watch.

I'm not entirely understanding how there are so many positive reviews for this show. I couldn't even finish the second episode. The acting: on par with bad soap operas. The writing: god awful. And is everyone ignoring this poor girl who dated this d bag for however many years and then gets dumped for a celebrity out of nowhere?! I would act a little crazy if that happened to me too! I just don't get the appeal to this show or why everyone is saying that it is "feel good". Look, I gave it a shot because Netflix keeps listing it in the top 10. But I just can't.
