Gekkan shôjo Nozaki-kun (2014)
Truly school romance
This is how it goes in high school, don't expect the relationship to be extremely hot. It is adorable and true. Love at this age is often called a friendship between a bot and a girl and this is what it is. This is a teenage romance before the first kiss.
If you know that in the manga Nozaki tells his little sister that he had an eye on Sakura from the very beginning, but she was the first to address him, the little events in the anime would seem more meaningful as they are for the teenagers in the show.
Besides, such tandem, a huge athletic phlegmatic and his short superactive girlfriend (whom he sometimes carries from place to place) is a couple no one can resist in their sympathies. The way they are monopolizing each other is such a sweet recognizable childish approach. The same goes for the other couples.
The emotions and images are very well-balances and the sound background is great.
Shakugan no Shana II (2007)
Disappointed
I got annoyed with those retard girls between Yuji and Shana. This is harem in the worst version. Shana is a really alive and lovely character while the whining shorty and the third GF are really annoying.
Every time Yuji and Shana seem to move ahead in their relationship, the whole deal will be spoiled by one the other brats. At first I feel really sorry for Shana, then I got angry that she tags along. In ep 4 she at last turned around and walked away which she must have done long time ago. At this happy note I quit watching.
I mean one saves his life more than once and sacrifices her life for him and the other brings bad sandwiches - and yet he scolds Shana all the time for being cruel and insensitive and yells at her. On the other hand, the one with sandwiches' feelings are so precious to him.
I wish Shana found a positive guy and left Yuji kiss the sandwich schmuck. I would gladly watch another season of his agony.
For me the season is depressing.
Sinbad (2012)
Exciting and useful
This is a good fairy tale. Along with the 10th kingdom and a couple of other shows - for good fairy tales are rare on the screen. I am not talking about vampire staff or never-ending mess like 'Once upon a time'. I am talking about stories with simple and true fairy tale-logic, good role models for boys and girls, bright worlds full of nature and far horizons. It no big deal that some monsters look like they've been wrapped in kitchen towels and painted brown (the legendary "Princess Bride" has the same amateur tinge sometimes). The show is not glorious like GoT - it is cute and nice like a bedtime story. The characters are sincere and alive and full of hesitations and young unsolved problems, thanks god they are not superpeople. We have really enjoyed the show.
