Death to 2021 (2021)
More Hollywood leftist garbage
Same, old, leftist trash that Hollywood keeps cranking out. Makes light of real tragedies and real problems that elites don't have to worry about. Disappointing, Netflix...
F9 (2021)
Fast & Furious meets Looney Tunes meets Story Time
When I saw the first F&F in theaters in 2001, it changed my life, seriously. I've been devoted to the franchise ever since. Once they hit #8, it was far removed from the bones of the series but it got a pass because it's a F&F movie, so why not...
And then F9... I'm exhausted after watching over 2 hours of the zaniest, most unbelievable, schlog of a movie. Physics are straight out of a cartoon, there is almost zero story or motivation for the characters except for drive, drive, drive, get McGuffin device, drive, rockets, space, barbecue, blah blah blah. I had to concentrate to keep my attention on the movie. Oh, and it's so predictable. So. Damn. Predictable.
Long story short, find something else to do with 2 1/2 hours, like watch paint dry or arranging your sock drawer.
I Care a Lot (2020)
This movie feels like a brainless, freshman, ultra-progressive art project.
When are the gender-bending, man-hating, ultra-progressive liberals going to get it through their heads that this is NOT entertainment. If I want politics, I'll go to Facebook.
Aside from the terrible socio-political push, the plot is the worst thing about this driveling vomit of a light show. Bad characters rip off worse characters but the lesser bad ones are better than the worse bad ones and... something, something. 30 minutes into the movie, I asked my wife if she knew who we were supposed to be rooting for but she was on her phone. It was her pick and she lost all interest by the 30 minute mark, maybe sooner. Regardless, I pushed through til the end just to see someone's head roll... ... ... aaaannnddd WTF??? Screw this movie.
Anyway, for the love of all that is good and pure in this world, find something else to spend 2 hours of your life on. I promise you, my friend, you'll not regret it. ✌🏻
The Lion King (2019)
The Lion King - The Culturally appropriate version
Not much to be said. Decent CG and photo realism. Facsimile story of the original. Great music replaced with Ok music. Facial expressions and body language replaced with cat acting.
Simply unnecessary. I'd very much rather watch the original a hundred times before watching this again.
Nanatsu no taizai (2014)
Simply Incredible.
I'm a huge anime fan and have been for decades. This is my absolute favorite anime. It's not overly tweeny and has enough adult themes to keep it interesting. Great plot and not over complicated or hard to translate. Absolutely gorgeous animation, while also different from most other anime. Best of all, very likeable and admirable characters. Their motivations are clear and believable.
Overall, this is a very fun and enjoyable show to watch. Unlike a lot of anime that is complex and can draw out a lot of negative emotions for purpose of plot (which isn't bad when part of the narrative), this show is uplifting and positive. Overall, a fantastic show. I hope to see more like it in the future.
