Montecristo (2023)
Just bad
Sorry but this version was terrible and I am a William Levy fan. I have seen the original and the telenovela version which both were great. With this one, I think I saw William Levy having intimacy with more women than anything else.
This is was such an insult to the book and the author. I know they wanted to change things around but they just made it worst. First, what they did with the Mercerdes and her daughter. Edmundo was just sleeping around with all these women but where was his vengeance? I get it, he's hot but I feel like they focused more on what he was doing with his personal life than what this entire story was suppose to be about which was vengeance for being incarcerated for a crime he didn't commit.
Also did they really have to put Mercerdes in that institution? And what was up with the daughter? She looked too old to be his child. Overall, I was not impressed with this version.
Supernatural Academy (2022)
Love it
I don't watch any type of animation but this one caught my eye and as soon as I started watching, I was hooked.
I loved how different the twins are and how they started getting to know each other and being friends. How different their worlds were and seeing them adapt. Reminded me a little bit of harry potter the first movie. Kristov was my favorite villain.
Also how cute are Max and Mischa? They are just adorable and I'm hoping we get a season 2 so that this develops more. We also need more of Terra who is kind of a sorcerous and does some magic. I would to see her abilities develop more and how her magic can help the twins with their dragon marks.
Jae, my favorite faerie, needs more storyline so she can come into her own.
Deo geullori (2022)
AMAZING
Wow I binged this show in one day. The show starts with Moon Dong Eun getting horrifically bullied. I think I'm a little traumatized with see how bad they treated her. She ends up dropping out of school and getting a job with the intention of getting revenge on her enemies. Fast forward, she comes back and works as a teacher in the very same school she was bullied in and one of the kids is the daughter of Park Yeon Jin who was the leader of the group. The daughter is adorable and just pulls your heart strings. Moon Dong develops a plan and befriends Kang Hyeon-nam into helping her. Now Kang is a victim of domestic violence and part of the deal she made with Moon Dong is that she kill her husband. The entire series I was praying nothing happened to her because I love her character. All the actors in this show did a phenomenal job in portraying their characters. Now the hard part is waiting until March for part 2.
Keep Breathing (2022)
It could have been better
The beginning of the series had a lot of promise. I liked not knowing immediately Sam's fate or what were the contents on the plane. But it has way to many flashbacks. She buried Sam with all his clothes instead of taking some for warmth cause you know she's in a forest. She's also pregnant the entire time and not very believable that after everything she went through she didn't lose it. What kind of forest only has one animal? I think I only saw a bear. Can we also talk about how great she still looked after a plane crash and not having a hair brush. They could have made this more believable. I wish we would have gotten more of an ending and not just that she survived and had the baby.
Don't Pick Up the Phone (2022)
I have never been so angry
I have never heard of this story until this documentary came out and it left me heated. I know times were different but not that different to know that no police officer would call you and ask you to perform a strip search for them. Putting that aside, the caller asks for the bra size and that doesn't even raise any red flags to any of these managers?? Now, lets talk about sick Walter. I don't care what any "cop" says over the phone, you do not spank or rape someone PERIOD. There is no type of reasoning to me at least as to why any of these managers fell for this hoax. I'm sorry I just don't get it. All they had to do was hang up the phone and call the real police.
Riches (2022)
Great Show!
This show had me hooked from the moment it started. Nina is a badass, Claudia is a villain that I have mixed feelings for. I mean clearly she came out with claws trying to take over the company but she was so good at being bad that I love her character. I love Simon period. Now Gideon hurt me because I love. Brendan Cole and never want to see him as a bad guy. Andre kind of grew on me towards the end. Can we also talk about that ending cause am I the only one who didn't see that coming? I am hoping this show gets picked up for a second season cause I need more. I think we all want to know was Stephen murdered?
Northern Rescue (2019)
Loved it
I loved this show! The first couple of episodes were kind of slow but than it got really good. This show reminds me of another show called Everwood that I used to watch. I really hope they give this show a renewal.
