The Offer (2022)
What a way to ruin a classic
It's a great show with great actors and actresses. That's it. 70% of the plot is made up, the rest is cool. If you're looking for a factual set of events, don't bother, it's just pure imagination. To be fair though, the production value is very high and it makes the whole show feel complete. But it's not, I recommend to read up on the real events that took place so you'll see how much it is that is actually completely made up. Elvis (2022)
Ludicrous choice of music and too many false stories
Title says it all, the first half of the movie was really poor, the music sucked - why all the remixes? It felt cheap and ruined the atmosphere of the film. Then the 2nd half of the film was much much better but then again the amount of made up situations, twisted facts etc.. the real story was and still is very interesting, there wasn't any need for any of this to make the story "more interesting".
Overall this feels like a huge opportunity missed, the base for the great biopic was there, the costumes, stage and lastly Austin Butler, these made the film watchable. The end of the film was very moving so props to that.
Entourage (2004)
The best TV show I've watched
I've just finished season 6 and I absolutely loved this show. I'm honestly speechless, it's that good. The chemistry between the guys, the comedy aspect of it, the drama (Johnny!)... Singlehandedly the best piece of TV I've watched in my life, that's how good it was. Everyone on this show deserve the credit, the attention to the detail, production quality, just amazing. Well done.
Joker (2019)
Are people rating this movie so high because it's just a tiny bit different from the usual comics?
I really have no idea why this film gets this kind of hype and rating. Coming in I was excited to see what was all the hype about but I left in despair and asking myself what's wrong with me for not liking this movie? Has it become a norm that everything that feels a little different automatically means we have an oscar on our hands? JP definitely deserves all the praise he's getting but I can't shake the feeling that it was all tried too hard to make it look way too serious and different while the plot didn't at all get the same treatment. I'm sorry, but this film doesn't live up to its expectations, it really doesn't.
Barry: ronny/lily (2019)
This episode will go down as one of the best in recent history of television
Words can't describe. So funny yet unexpectedly profound show, witty writing and absolutely top notch acting. This episode was genius. I love when filmmakers are not afraid to do things differently and Barry is a prime example. Utmost respect to the people involved making this utterly beautiful show.
Nathan for You (2013)
Nathan is Legend in the making, don't miss out on this!
This is my first review and as you know everyone saves it for something special. And believe me, this is special. Every episode is a gift that just keeps on giving. The sheer brilliance of Nathan's ideas which are then gradually implemented in the plot is just on another level. You can clearly see people just don't feel comfortable in Nathan's company and that's what it makes a great show. Nathan's humour is so simple yet so profound and slick. Witty comedy which will get you immediately hooked. Watch it for yourself and you'll see. Some brilliant writing and acting complemented with stunning camera work. The amount of times he tricked people and media for some ridiculous cause or whatever he came up with is something that really deserves recognition and respect. Nathan is a genius.
