Maid (2021)
This movie needs to be in every language possible!!
Amazing amazing movie!! The performances, the screenplay, the production, I don't think there was anything that let me, the viewer down. I loved, hated, welled, choked, got claustrophobic, wrenched my guts, felt liberated, felt hopeless, so on and so forth with all the moments in the movie. Bravo!!
Laxmii (2020)
Worst movie ever
Everyone's has performed pathetically, except sharad and manu chaddha who were ok but better than the rest.
Whatever Works (2009)
It Works!! A brilliant entertainer..
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. i have watched a couple of Woody Allen movies but some how didn't relate to them too well. So, i went in to this movie with not many expectations. Some how watching a movie with low expectations has been more enjoyable in a relative manner. But, Larry David's quirky reverse psychological prologue got you hooked to the movie and the rest was, as the cliché goes. I am a bit surprised by the lower than expected user ratings for this movie. I guess its the caricatured nature of the characters in the movie probably were not well received. but i cracked up to the Pygmalion chemistry of Larry and Evan, especially to Larry's reactions. I just love the way the entire plot has been conceived and rolled out on screen. the sarcastic humor and the flashes of profound ideas conveyed through cynicism and cliché. its a fresh approach to the rotten side of us, humans.Thank you all and thank you Woody Allen.
The Sessions (2012)
Balm for our seriously disabled perception of Life
Its interesting to see that extreme hardships brings for extraordinary abilities as well as people. This journey of love destroys all the limitations a human body poses to his ability to pursue, have & express/give love for himself and his partner. it also destroys our impatience as well as our very stingy perception towards sex. all this with that hint of classic humor, it made the completely horizontal, almost paralyzed protagonist irresistible. I just love Helen Hunt. I just love Helen Hunt, once was not enough. She portrays her character with such awesomeness. portraying the transition from a clinical approach of a therapist to a woman slowly falling for another man's charm. What a team!! What a movie!! hats off.
American Sniper (2014)
Wish Indian Film makers and artists should make movies of Indian war heroes
Completely agree with the review by trublu215. Just loved the way the movie was made. Bradley Cooper was the perfect cast for this movie, he carried freaking movie over his bulked up shoulders and obviously with the director Mr. Clint Eastwood's help. Bradley cooper can carry off being the legend,an emotional wreck of a zoned out soldier, the handsome sorted and ever so romantic husband and also the ideal daddy. u cant not love him. i liked it when they showed that kyle screwed up when they were ambushed as they went out again for butcher after Biggles got injured and they ended up loosing Marc(Luke Grimes). I wish Indian Film makers and artists take note of these kind of movies and make movies of the war heroes that India has found and lost in saving our country. Wonder why we don't have that many movies about Indian soldiers as much as we have of freedom fighters, corrupt politicians, quirky policemen.
Balak Palak (2013)
Every child and parent must peep into this one
Congratulations on venturing into such a tricky topic of child growth which bothers every child and their parents alike and handling it with such grace and beauty.
Being in my early 30's the period used in your film seems almost close to my time of adolescence and I feel my life would have been different if i had a support system to help me through that phase of my life.
I had developed a complex based upon my exposure and excessive curiosity at that age and i believe it had changed my way of being. i still don't yet have the answers to the questions that a child faces, that i had faced at that point.
Unfortunately i feel that the end left me unsatisfied and that it should have had dealt with the dilemma of this condition in a little more depth.
Yet i thoroughly enjoyed the film and will take away quite a few pointers for parenting as the film is full of sensitively handled scenes.
I am going to watch it a several times not just as the parent but also as the child.
Ankhon Dekhi (2013)
Seeing Is Believing, try it - A must watch!
SANJAY MISHRA and all of the others. Its the beautiful unfolding of a nice and a usually straight forward man, in his hay days. Choosing to give credence to his "own experience" of his life between the chaos of our life that keeps bombarding itself on to you. It is the vain attempt of a now unpredictable man to live his idea of life, without a care, for once in his entire life and actually being able to be briefly happy. The melodrama plays out in the accompaniment of the uniquely colloquial and earthy humour, where profound statements and insane ideas flew like comets. But yes mera anubhav hai, tu tera dekh.(But thats what i saw, you must believe only what you see)
