3022 (2019)
It's not the YEAR 3022, it's DAY 3022 on the station
Some reviewers seem to be confused about the title, and it's forgivable. If you didn't catch the quick reference to the number of days on the station at the end, you'd be wondering why the story took place in the 2190's, as stated in the intro, but was titled 3022. Having clarified that point, there are so many complete lapses in any kind of logic in this story that I felt insulted and kept thinking I should just give up on it. But I did get through it...and now more than ever I wish I hadn't. I'm usually pretty tolerant of Sci-Fi, but this was ridiculous!
Tiger King (2020)
No rhyme, no reason
It could be postulated that the purpose of human existence is to try everything within the realm of possibility and figure out what works. But there are times when one could reasonably ask: "OK, but why THIS -- did it really need to be tried?" Joe Exotic and gang are an excellent example of the later. Watching their antics has similar characteristics to watching a car wreck at a super-slow frame rate. You want to look away, and know very well that you should, but can't
What Did Jack Do? (2017)
Dream Instantiation
David Lynch has one particular talent that I find truly fascinating; the ability to capture the flavor. essence and high strangeness of a dream...and then put it out there for all to see. For that reason I've always thought that Eraserhead is a masterpiece so unique that it can't really be judged or compared to anything else. You either get it, or it will seem meaningless -- just like that dream that left you shaking your head and wondering what the heck that was all about. Was it trying to tell you something, or was it just a bunch of neurons doing their thing for some unknowable reason? If, like me, you enjoy contemplating the mysterious inner workings of the mind, you'll probably enjoy "What Did jack Do?"
MindGamers (2015)
The double slit experiment...
The double slit experiment has got to be the most misunderstood, abused and misused result ever to come out of physics. And, aside from causing so many people to misinterpret quantum physics, it unfortunately forms the basis for mountains of both fiction and non-fiction literature.
Medical Police (2020)
Silly but not funny or amusing
I'd say the writers need to be force fed a few seasons of Scrubs and told to go back to the drawing board. This show is closer to the 3 Stooges than contemporary adult humor. And the 3 Stooges had more engaging characters.
Voyeur (2017)
A sad tale of two unenlightened and unenlightenable aging men
This is the sad story of two old men who were unable to learn the lessons that a long life should have taught them. Their narcissism is as deep and broad as any adolescent male at the height of their testosterone laced years. Their temperament, in full display, is even worse. If the film has any value, other than exposing the egos of these misanthropes, it's to teach a lesson to the rest of maledom: The true value and reward of maturity and aging is to be found in the seeking of greater wisdom, understanding and kindness -- not in the unending, ever expanding pursuit of materialistic selfishness.
6 Underground (2019)
Unadulterated Violence
Pure unadulterated high adrenaline ultraviolence. I couldn't sit through it. Will filmmakers ever understand that they are not serving humanity when they put out crap like this. Quite the opposite. We wonder why there's so much violence and malevolence in the world? And we wonder why international polls say that the vast majority of the world considers the states to be the country that is the greatest threat to peace? Hmm...
Apache Warrior (2017)
Ask who for what?
I love it when people pray to God that they can succeed in killing other people without getting killed themselves. I'm sure that's what an omniscient being would want. Humans are somewhere between wild animals and sentient creatures at this point in our history. Logical thinking on the values of cooperation vs. fighting is sorely lacking, and we just keep provoking more unthinking anger in each other without examining our own actions. Meanwhile technology makes this a very dangerous stage in our development. May we make it over the hump before we all go down, though I'm not seeing a lot of hope right now. The rise and fall of empires makes it so obvious that you cannot force people into submission for long. But few even seem much interested in climbing out of the box that our belligerent cultures impose on us.

I see the Flat Earth Movement as sad for a different reason
What makes me sad about this doc and the Flat Earth Movement is that they get lumped in with other conspiracy theories and give them all a bad name. There are real and dangerous conspiracies going on in the world. I'm talking about political and economic conspiracies by rich and powerful people, many of whom are narcissistic and/or psychopathic in nature. These people commit crimes against humanity on a regular basis. But now when they get called out for their deeds, the whisleblowers are merely labeled "conspiracy theorists" and by default they are lumped in with this crazy Flat Earth Movement.
