Worst Ape Movie Made
19 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I really wanted to like this movie. Having grown up at the start of the original Ape phenomenon, I was expecting this movie to set a new standard. The story line is shattered and hard to follow throughout the movie. The fact that I saw the movie in 3-D should have set expectations higher and probably influenced my disappointment. My biggest complaint was none of the characters were properly developed and thus adding to the confused scenes. However, there is one bright moment in the movie, the little girl, Nova. If not for her, I would have given it a two. I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

Someone Unexpected Needed to Die
31 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
In reading the reviews so far, it seems I may be in the minority. I thought the episode was decent, but lacked that unexpected ending we are all accustomed to. It's not hard to predict that Rick and Jessie would eventually hook up...so killing her husband is not that shocking. Then again, did he really kill him? I'm guessing no...Also, nobody was going to kick Rick out and that whole meeting thing was just to set up that final scene. What was brilliant about this episode was bringing Morgan back. Looking forward to seeing what role he plays next season. I also liked the fact that this episode concentrated on the development of the main characters and how they really do care about each other. However, I think what would have put this episode over the top is the killing off a major character. They teased us throughout the episode, but fell short at the end.

Nothing Good Ever Happens in an Affair
3 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Strictly from a man's perspective, who has gone through an affair, I really like the way this series is heading. To me, the subject matter is not anything we have'nt seen before, but the way the story is being told is just brilliant. To use both versions of the events that take place is presented in a way that does'nt seem repetitive. We do however in episode 4 see how both versions of the affair become similar and the story continues to move forward. What does kind of get lost is this so-called murder investigation, which I'm sure will become more apparent as the series continues. I believe what captivates me the most is the stellar performances by the actors. You can honestly feel the chemistry between them and that's what separates this series from others with a similar subject matter. But, in the end, and I've experienced it, nothing good ever comes about from an affair.
