The Fact That They Mixed All Games Together
11 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not the biggest fan of that fact. Fans of the games will not love this movie. People that will watch this because of Tom Holland and don't know any of these games will like it, probably.

Acting
15 December 2021
What an episode. The acting is simply superb. This show is addictave in the best way possible. Can't believe that people can still get Oxy - such a shame that this show wasn't a big success hype-wise - the internet would be a powerful weapon against this whole Oxy thing.

No one is writing a review?

This is an excellent episode of WB. Sad to see that this show is mostly senseless, badly written filler. People who don't know the show yet should watch the season 1 premiere and this second half of season 2 only, lol.

Great episode for Philip
10 November 2021
This is an exciting episode and even a touching send-off for one character in particular. Philip was amazing in this one, he is one of the better characters in this show. The action was good, too.

Enjoyed the ride, I'm excited to see what's next!

Great Finale For a Fantastic Season
17 June 2021
The only thing I still don't like is that these people don't even seem to try aiming for the head of a zombie.

But I have to admit: This season was not what I was expecting! What a banger of a season. Really great stuff!

@xxxNomadicxxx: Thanks for pointing that out! But I think most viewers will still feel frustrated by the rather realistic style of this show.

What an episode! This one has old-school horror vibes. Very well-done. The ending shocked me. Best season so far, Black Summer is not messing around!

The Purest Character: Sun
17 June 2021
Another great episode. It proves that Sun has to be the purest character in this show. The scenes with Mance's group and their encounter with Sam was good, didn't expect the outcome. Boone is a nut-job but I think Rose and Anna can trust him.

Really good episode. Slower than the previous ones, but still good TV. I really like these two characters and this season in general is a pleasant surprise!

What An Explosive Episode
17 June 2021
I can't get enough of this season. The action in the house is just so good. Sophie, Ray and Boone are promising new characters, hopefully they won't die like flies. Man, what happened to this show? My rate for this show went from 6 to 8 real quick.

Wow, the pace is just amazing. I'm a bit upset that good characters like Rhonda and the crazy Mom go so soon, but still this is so much better than season 1. Just wow!

Season 2 Is An Adrenaline Rush
17 June 2021
People, you need to watch at least season 2 if you don't trust the reviews for season 1. The second season is full of craziness, in a good way! It portrays the postapocalyptic world so well! So much tension, in my opinion not even bad writing (which is rare). A must-see for zombie fans!

Worth The Binge: Season 2 Is Something Else

Wow, I'm surprised how good season 2 is. New characters like Ray have a nice introduction. The storytelling this season is also different - but in a really good way. I'm invested!

Folks, Hear Me Out
17 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
While season 1 also tried to be realistic, it had some very bad writing. Season 2 so far is fantastic. I mean it. It portrays the dark reality of a post-apocalyptic world so well!

The story being told backwards is amazing. Can't wait to see how everything will come together! They already got my attention with this premiere, while season 1 was mostly weird to me (but not bad).

Fear the Walking Dead: The Beginning (2021)
Season 6, Episode 16
Decent Season (For The Most Part)
10 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I think that they did a good job with season 6 overall. But you gotta admit that the second half has some serious season-5-writing here and there. Episode 15 is a mess: Letting the bad guys go/alive just like that, surviving several walkers on top of you just like that - all these conveniences, all that plot armor... lazy writing, simple as that.

Well, the season 6 finale is not messing around and it's quite big - yet you can't deny that episode 15 destroyed a lot of this season's momentum. This final episode almost feels "undeserved".

The intro with Rachel was very bleak and actually pretty well-done! The actress did a great job.

I hated the scene between Dakota, Teddy, JD Senior and June. What is it with our group trying to save psychopaths? Having a well-written face-off between JD and Teddy would've been awesome and the writers missed out big time. The way Teddy eventually dies falls flat and let's be honest: Dakota's arc ever since episode 8 has been "I point a gun at everything and everyone!"

Teddy's storyline is also a letdown if you think about it - with the death he got, I mean. It didn't even surprise me that the writers decided to end the cult members' storyline like that - uninspired, uninteresting and extremely forgettable.

Dakota's end is epic and I'm probably going to re-watch this scene on YouTube several times.

The scenes with Dwight and Sherry actually surprised me a lot. Sherry's arc this season has been rocky and I was not a fan - but this episode made me like her again. Her regretful words felt very genuine and guys, can we appreciate Dwight for a moment? What a great dude!

The whole Strand situation is a mess... I actually hoped for his end this episode. Not sure what the writers' plans are for his character. It has neither depth nor anything else - he betrays, he is a friend, then he betrays again, etc. So over it! Plus, how did he and the guy he met survive in that skyscraper? Very unrealistic, not even the windows got destroyed.

Morgan and Grace, well... First of all I wonder how that situation played out when Morgan let Teddy, Dakota, Strand and Riley go the episode before. Did June, JD Sr, Grace, Sherry and Dwight just awkwardly stand there when they left the submarine? Ugh, episode 15 still leaves a bad taste in my mouth the more I think about these plotholes and bad writing decisions... Moving on to Grace and Morgan, I have to admit that it baffled me that they survived so easily just by jumping under the truck. But I'm not an expert, so I'll leave it at that.

The CRM stuff... First of all, I loved the Daniel action this episode. He is a very smart man. Also liked the Sarah screentime. Sadly, the actor who plays her brother Wendell couldn't make it on set during the second half of season 6 - but he'll be back in season 7! Moving on: The helicopter scene felt rushed and Al babbling cryptic stuff over the radio "the less you know the better" is just frustrating at this point. Throughout the franchise you get the impression that the writers, directors and developers don't even have one single clue as to where this CRM thing is going.

What could've been the show's best season is now (in my eyes) way behind season 3 (that season actually had momentum that paid off - when suddenly season 4 destroyed all of it). I understand the hype around season 6 but praising episodes like the penultimate one as a "masterpiece" or "one of the best in the franchise" is just a lie.

Fear the Walking Dead: USS Pennsylvania (2021)
Season 6, Episode 15
I'm A Big Fan Since Day 1
3 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
... but here is episode 15 in a nutshell: Morgan keeps two serial killers alive, one because it's a child and the second: because why not. JD Sr, June, Dwight and Sherry were all useless this episode. Victor and Morgan have to stop a missile from launching but just stop once every three minutes to chit chat. Victor betrays Morgan for literally no reason (and Morgan should have died). Teddy's people are nowhere to be found (and how did they get there without killing the walkers to begin with?). The whole episode was anticlimactic and stuffed with monologues and dialogues about fate and goals and sacrifice. The cast outside the submarine did nothing, and even stared and smiled at the missile instead of searching for Alicia.

A Week Away (2021)
I'm Surprised That Christians Loved It
6 April 2021
This movie is all about good vibes, having a great time, embracing God's grace: So that I AM happy. And for me, that's the biggest problem I have with this flick.

If you call yourself a Christian you should know what the Bible says about hedonism. And "A Week Away" is full of hedonists - people that only aim for pleasure and fun, nothing else matters, God loves me just as I am - I don't have to change, everything will be fine.

Well, it's not. If we don't repent from the inside out, if we don't get that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, we won't be free from our negative habits. Fear of the Lord means hating the evil. But we don't do that - we just live our lives, we don't really care about God and his word, but when our feelings are hurt, we praise His grace. Well, keep going - you won't find what you're looking for.

God is so good and he has so much to offer for us - if we finally understand what following Jesus is all about!

Sorry for this little sermon, but it bugged me that the movie had a chance to preach the gospel to Netflix' subscribers but failed to do so. It preaches prosperity theology.

I still gave it 5 stars as I enjoyed the acting, singing and the harmless vibe.

The Island: Zuflucht (2020)
Season 1, Episode 8
The writers tried too hard with this!
14 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, what a letdown of an episode. The writing was atrocious at times! The first 5 episodes were well done and I enjoyed the slower pace and the looming danger. Episode 6 was thrilling, but cheesy most of the time. Evylin could get away with anything. Her escape from the hospital and from her dad was laughable. What started as promising show ended up being a letdown. Killing off some of the best character isn't good writing! Plus, why is the author still alive? "Overacting" should be his second name.

Unlikeable characters, very slow-paced story
19 April 2020
I didn't enjoy this film at all. All the characters are a pain in the ass and I hate their lifestyle. They are all like "being unfaithful is ok". These people don't get that they are the problem.

The Walking Dead: We Are the End of the World (2019)
Season 10, Episode 2
That acting though...
13 October 2019
This is an amazing episode for the Whisperers. The writing is superb and the acting - just wow! The last couple of minutes gave me goosebumps. Also loved that arc with the sisters - thought for a sec that the blonde woman was Winnie, one of the psycho kids that Michonne spared before the time-jump.

The only thing that felt a bit off was the editing during the final scene. Alpha sees something in the distance and shortly after that we have this strange cut to the scene from episode 1 where she spots Carol. In the previous episode, however, she randomly came out of the woods and it seemed like she was enjoying some fresh air or something. So it doesn't really make sense that she acts like she sees something while she is in the woods in episode 2. Get what I mean? I'm from Europe and my English might be a little off :D

Fear the Walking Dead: Ner Tamid (2019)
Season 5, Episode 12
Spoilerfree overview
1 September 2019
This is a quite enjoyable episode. I always like the storylines focused on June and John. Charlie, Sarah and Dwight also have plenty of screentime. The directing and writing felt better this week. The dynamic between Charlie and the newbie is cool and doesn't feel forced. Sarah is chill as always and I love the fact that she calls Dwight "baby face". The parts with June and John are exciting and full of scenes with walkers. There's also a face-off with the bad guys in this episode, but nothing spectacular.

Fear the Walking Dead: 210 Words Per Minute (2019)
Season 5, Episode 10
You can't deny that this episode is poignant and well-done
19 August 2019
"210 Words Per Minute" is a really good episode. I've enjoyed it throughout! The whole dynamic between Grace and Morgan feels natural. Dwight's storyline is also well-written. The atmosphere in the shopping-mall is amazing and I loved how Grace and Morgan handled every obstacle together! This episode has also great character development in store for us and I'm in love with Grace's character, she is very likeable! Loved her motivations and thoughts throughout the episode. The dialogue in this ep is decent and touching! Can't wait for the next episode!

Very good and emotional episode!
21 July 2019
I liked this episode a lot. It has some very good character moments and also plenty of thrilling stuff. Sarah and Wendell are really cool and fun to watch, they did good this episode. The scenes between June and John are beautiful. Grace is a great new addition, I hope she'll be a part of the group for a very long time! This mid-season finale is a good wrap-up for this half's rocky arc. Season 5 is somewhat decent so far, but the sloppy writing and the slow plot-development is hard to deny.

Fear the Walking Dead: Still Standing (2019)
Season 5, Episode 7
The producers and writers REALLY need to listen:
18 July 2019
If you want to keep the viewers on edge you need to do better with writing and pacing. This half of season 5 is VERY slow as it tells a story that could've been told in 2 episodes. Scott M. Gimple must already now that people don't like this sort of pacing - that's why I don't understand the decision to write season 5a that way. While the show still entertains me, I've expected WAY more from this season. I hope episode 8 and the second half of s5 will pick up the pace...
