Not Bad
22 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This feels like a Fast & Furious version of the MCU with the high emphasis on family. Even if you have been attacking the family in the past or mistreated members of them, in the end you are still part of the gang. But I don't mind. It's also nice to see Thanos 'powerless' and on the side of the good guys for once.

The animation works here, in space, too. The easter eggs are also nice to see but don't distract too much.

What If... Disney didn't know how to animate characters?
22 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's been a while since I have seen animation that bad. The characters look awful. This comes from the same company that has made the animated Disney and Pixar movies. Yet, this somehow looks like a 20 year old cartoon with little budget and without a creative vision.

The story is basically Captain America (well instead of Captain America it's Peggy this time) with Tentacle monsters in the end. And quips about the MCU (you almost ripped my arm off har har). The fights are way too fast, so that they fly by without notice.

I was actually looking forward to the series, but well, based on this animation style I am not going to watch the rest.

Two plots at once are one too much
25 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The main problem I have with Matt's 'sidequests' in this and the previous episodes is that I don't get why he has to help Elektra. It doesn't look like she couldn't do it alone. So why does he help her? He knows the trial is the most important thing right now. Considering that the whole plot is based on the premise that Matt can't deal with those two things at once, this is a very loose ground.

The two plots feel kind of forced to me because of that. Why don't have Elektra go on those adventures alone and have Matt find out about them later? Same conflict, works better imo. And Matt could do his own thing as Daredevil at night to find out more about the case and not really be ready for the legal defense this way. That would be much smoother.

Besides this kind of big issue: Foggy and the trial have been amazing and are saving the episodes right now.

Nice filler
29 May 2020
This episode just isn't really neccessary. It does not much to continue the story or the characters. It not only feels like a filler episode, it is a filler episode. While clearly aiming at nostalgic moments (which it does well), it doesn't do much more.

This is the problem with the serries: Either do one adventure per episode with character development or make a big season-long arc filled with plot. But this... rescuing Baby Yoda and well... travelling with him for an entire season to do both while not dedicating to one of the two feels too flat.
