After rewatching this movie...
15 March 2018
I realized that there was a whole issue on the premise on acting "gay." It totally ignores the fact that the two could have been bisexual, or had a open marriage. They didn't need to try half as hard as they did at being the typical "effeminate" gay men, because only "straight and gay" exists. It is worth a watch, just don't expect too much from this. Even though this movie has issues, it's got a decent message (besides it being ok to commit fraud if its for a good reason).

Wow, wow.

It was good. Powerful film. As a writer, and a lover of a good story, this was a good story. A glimpse into the look of lives, human lives, that many seem to forget about whenever speaking about the middle east. It reminds me of a more, hopeful version of Grave of the fireflies. Again, a lot more hopeful, but no less powerful. Especially the ending. Worth watching.

I'm not sure why it's got such a bad rating....

I suppose as I am not an initial cloverfield fan, maybe I am just not as invested in the initial horror, or whatever component, but I liked it. I liked it alot. The story did kinda change from the initial way I was thinking, from what it showed. I thought it be a little more horror-esque. But, as a sci-fi fan, I enjoyed it. The actors were all convincing, and while the plot shifted a little, it was well worth watching. I also liked seeing strong characters, and they didn't seem to one-sided, if a little predictable. I'd say watch it. Give it a chance, before passing it over because of all the disappointed fans. Especially if you like something that is relevant, and a little tripy.

Really good so far...

Warning: Spoilers
I loved the fact that they had a badass, kick ass black woman as a lead. But, of course. Of course, they had to kill her off. The only black person and they kill em off. Kinda typical, sadly. Which is the only beef I have so far with this show.

A big old...Ehhhh.

Warning: Spoilers
So, besides the fact that a lot of it was scientifically impossible considering the underwater aspects, and the very 1-dimensional characters, it wasn't't...the worst thing I've seen. Close though. I laughed maybe once. Only interesting aspect of it, was the idea of a world after humans had left it, due to global warming. They could have done so much more with it but, eh. And the ending...? About how old are the main characters supposed to be? I mean, that was a bit questionable having deep suddenly be thrust into having to mate with another of his kind? Yeah, no. It was an odd way to end it. Why couldn't they just have the ending be say, the colony looking for a new home?

It was good~

I was a little unsure of how I would like it. I was a child when the animated movie came out, and you know. Wondering if they would do it justice. But, I was pleasantly surprised. It mixed a bit of nostalgia, with a bit of new. It also gave a bit more depth to Belle, and her father, and I rather liked that. Worth watching. Worth owning.

This show is...

I found that it is rather evident that people who have rated this low, have not given this show much more than a five minute watch. It quite explains the reason for the title, in the last few minutes. It shows that the reason it's alright for this sort of joking, is because well...Watch the show and you'll find out. I rather enjoyed this episode, it proved powerful at the end.

The story writing as a whole, is decent. It shows potential for character growth, and folks looking to watch it should give it a thorough go, vs an angry opinion based on the title alone. It goes to show, that racism is alive folks. And no, this isn't a show that is somehow "reverse racist" (because in honesty, that makes no real sense...wouldn't that be the reverse of racism in general? And a good thing?)

It's not bad

I'd say I rather liked it. It has potential. I've only watched one episode so far, but I feel like it brings up some valid points about the realities of today with racism, and race relations. It pokes fun at all sides, and explains some very important points about folks responding with "Reverse Racism". I mean...honestly, the idea of reverse racism, sounds to me like it is the exact opposite of racism, which to me, would be good, right..? Anyway. Worth a watch. Don't take note of the folks who are seriously offended over the title. They are not giving a review based on actually watching the show, vs well...simply being offended to be offended.
