The creator the writer the actor all the same dude he's been in other things where he's sometimes funny unfortunately this time there's nothing funny about this trite nonsensical goofiness and there's no way I'm going to watch more than 15 minutes of it maybe I didn't make it that far for which other people will slam me of course but you know what don't give this anymore thought just skip it there are so many shows and movies that are too cute by half is that what they say it's just dumb there's no reason for anything even if they try to develop a story which I find difficult if not impossible there's no reason for any of whatever is happening and the emotion from the creator director actor dude name intentionally withheld is ridiculous because there's no reason for any of it and by reason I mean reason as in none see my pretend whimsical nonsense is equally nonsensical, thank me in the next lifetime for warning you away from this trite pretentious nonsense.

What were they thinking?, I will never be ceased to be amazed at the TV shows and movies which get produced, such as this one, the critics are correct Elizabeth Moss made a stupid mistake taking on this role, oh is her name spelled with an s?, maybe, her acting if you want to call it that in this is terrible, it was very good in the handmaid's tale to be sure, and then suddenly she can't compel the character in any way, yes people are right the British accent is corny and kooky sounding and ridiculous, surely she knows that, if she doesn't realize it and doesn't know it then she's nutty to be sure, also the lady playing the opposite lead the isis terrorist, the big giant lips from some insane big giant lip procedure are so ridiculous as it always is, what is wrong with women who do that with the crazy lip injections?, why would they even consider it looking at how it always turns out?, anyway it's just a big giant fish lip distraction, it all is a crazy story that does not compute on so many levels, skip it!

I'm now into episode 4 and regretting it immensely and about to give up I've given it too much of a chance I think I'm going to give up with 10 minutes to go in episode 4 because I could care less what happens, now people write these stories and they think they're writing something interesting or catchy or some science fiction something or other but they get an idea that's probably more like a joke that falls like a lead balloon and their idea can't take off it has nowhere to go and there's elements of something that could have been cool I guess I'm not so sure, also there is an actress first name Noah who plays a male and as soon as you see this person it's quite obvious it's a skinny girl with a haircut who has to wear a tie in the scenes so that you can know the character is a male even though every part of your psyche is screaming out that's a girl that's a girl then oh my God I'm saying the wrong thing because I'm not allowed to say that I'm not supposed to say that a girl who has decided she's a boy isn't really a girl right, and you know what that's not me I think people should do whatever they want and be whoever they want and act however they want, except one thing, I can't see it, in these instances I can't stop seeing the actual biological female in front of my eyes and then the voice so yeah the voice is clearly 100% a young girl, so whatever they want to be fine, and whatever name they want to give themselves fine, but it's just difficult for me to willingly suspend disbelief, because that's all I'm left with is not believing it, ymmv, anyway the silly show is here there and everywhere, I would skip it, 5.7 at this point in time is too much for it, I hope my 2 brings it down to where it might oughta be.

Wrestling Ernest Hemingway (1993)

a great old movie

Two master actors doing what they do best, inhabiting their characters and imbuing them with emotions and the reality of two men's lives, it's worth watching to see how movies used to be made, sure, some movies do it still, but not too often, yeah, it's a familiar storyline but it's... well it just goes to show you something about humanity and people in a way that covers all the bases so to speak dang I have to write $186 more characters oh now it's 150 47 43 41 40 okay going down why do they make us do this when all we want to do is say what we want about a movie it's a silly rule and they should get rid of it, and you should give this movie a chance, peace out.

Sugar (2024– )

I really like Colin Farrell, this show is a preposterous slog, it's a snoozefest, the dialogue between him and the girl is absolutely nutso, once again someone wrote a whack fake noir story where I guess we're psychic and are supposed to know about some ludicrous, yeah ludicrous and preposterous storyline with the two barely making sense because we don't know how they know each other but oh that's supposed to be cool and the relationship can't be taken seriously in any way shape or form, ho hum ho hum deedely dumb!, the girl with the supposedly cool nose ring can't get across the role, yeah but what is her role anyway and why is sugar ha funny that's the whole show the name and Colin Farrell's studly face because apparently he forgot how to act too maybe the girl left him void of spirit, this.show.has.no.spirit.nor.soul oh me oh my oh, pass on it, I couldn't get through the first convo between she and he because who cares?, believe it or not my meandering pseudo review review is more interesting, argh said Charlie Brown.

Addendum - apparently someone doesn't like my review but read some of the pro reviews online... they, uh, agree with me and I with them about this show being a miss!, of course some people like it, such is life, why disparage me as having problems because I didn't like this show?, peace out.

Broken (IV) (2012)

What can I say about this movie except that it's all good acting and somehow it's a story but I'll tell you what it is the saddest story you've ever seen it's so sad how sad is it that my recommendation to anyone who reads this review before they might chance upon watching this movie is don't watch it because I'm sure the world is full enough of super sad stories that are enough to break our spirit and so no matter what the end as I watch the last couple of minutes of it I'm not spoiling anything but despite the good acting and possibly good script it doesn't matter because it's so sad and pitiful you should just skip it please skip it and watch something uplifting instead of downright depressing like the state of the world we live in now who needs more of that you don't take my word for it.

Mephisto (2024)

This movie does not deserve such a long review it's silent I guess it stays silent I had to give up on it and presumably if you read the description of the movie you understand more or less where it's going my words now are probably boring you to death the same way I felt when I started to watch the movie these days so many actors or actresses or artists or directors or producers or movie makers think they are making something so deep which deserves our attention this is not an example of anything that deserves anyone's attention it is pretentious and it seems these movies where they speak Castilian or Spanish whatever it would have been if they were speaking are some attempt to be artsy fartsy they succeeded at least as much in that skip it do your laundry or clip your toenails instead it would be much more interesting than this try again everyone involved in this movie the expressions on the girl's face are just ridiculous over acting.

It's really difficult to write as many characters as I must to review this here movie called a green fever because it's a movie where nothing is happening that is to say the story is nonsensical the actors seem very amateurish as does the script the orange Volkswagen in the beginning is cool but there is no character development and the weird music to add tension keeps going on and on it's as if this movie is a spoof of something maybe people in Lagos can understand some meaning which brings me to another point some of the actors lines are garbled as in I can't understand them their accent is thick oh well keep trying and write a better story next time one that is interesting anyway sorry to poo poo your movie I couldn't finish it tootaloo.

The Cloud in Her Room (2020)

Hey it's an artsy fartsy Chinese movie, I lived in Hangzhou once, here we are again, a movie that lets you know nothing whatever about the cool place, and guess what, basically nothing whatever about the characters either, a girl goes here, goes there, lots of shots of her plain face and expressionless eyes, tons and tons and tons of shots of her smoking, of everyone smoking, she has sex once, with a kind of boyfriend who tells her he loved someone once before but can't love anyone now once was enough, and it goes on and on from scene to scene this girl's plain face, definitely not worth shooting a whole movie over!, do yourself a favor, skip it.

I started to watch this movie I started yes I started I really did I started to watch it these words I have just spoken are more interesting than the few minutes yes I'll say it of my life that I lost watching the first few minutes of this ridiculously stupid movie how can it have a seven rating that's impossible it is impossibly ridiculous the beginning of the story the characters are uncool to say the least I have no interest whatsoever and learning anything more about them and the third scene shall we say where the lady gets bit by a bully ha now they're illegal somewhere in England that red blood is so fake and ridiculous and after she goes to help the lady in the cafe where she works the girl that is not the lady all of a sudden she has fake bright red blood all over her face on both sides of her head so stupid so stupid so ridiculous how could I possibly keep watching this oh yeah I couldn't bye-bye.

May December (2023)

This movie just gets in its own way both of the lead actresses overact and that's a fact and the young man who plays the husband can't act at all he's overacting is just downright pitiful I understand the point of his mopey sad head hanging down stuck in childlike mode supposed to be character but I guess Natalie Portman got him to overplay it and Julianne Moore is that her name her character as she plays it just seems unreal like she can't really make it work not for me and also Natalie Portman her affect gets worse and worse as she supposedly is getting better and better at portraying Julianne Moore's character her diction and enunciation gets more and more stupid, the name or title May December doesn't really make sense anyway even in an artsy fartsy way, to be honest I'm inclined to tell you just skip it once again I watched it for you ha.

Bad Sisters (2022– )

I started to watch this once and quit then I came back to it and I'm glad I did it's a really good story even if it takes an episode or show to get going but once it does it all makes sense and the characters are really pretty good give it a chance and I think you might like it it has all the elements of a kind of a who done it with characters that are off color and funny and sad the actresses are all pretty good at what they do and the main foil the bad guy so to speak acts the rule so well you just love to hate him and come to feel along with all of the characters that he's going to get his just desserts give it a shot I think you'll like it.

The New Boy (2023)

So many oh so many movies today start out so poorly that it leaves you with no option but to just give up on the movie the little boy so unrealistically takes to Cate Blanchett for no reason really it doesn't make sense why and for crying out loud there is no Aboriginal Australian kid with blonde hair and super dark skin but more than that the hair is some kind of new age dye job that is so unbelievable from the very beginning the movie is not in the right frame so to speak and within a few minutes it's just goofy none of the other boys say haha he has yellow hair which is dang near impossible I tell you honest to goodness there's no way I could give it more than a few minutes of my time life is too short to watch such rubbish I guess Cate Blanchett is on a roll huh.

Oppenheimer (I) (2023)

Many people have mentioned some shortcomings such as no mention of the Trinity downwind sufferers who got cancer from this, no showing of The local workers involved they don't even appear on the screen, it's all white faces, and of course no perspective of the Japanese who were slaughtered innocent people who were slaughtered, Oppenheimer was no hero!, for what it's worth I'm sure it has been demonstrated clearly that the bombs didn't have to be dropped despite all those who say it ended the war the war had already really ended, look it up!, don't just read the history of the victors, also the story jumps around way too much, it's like who's who of atomic energy and quantum physics but so what, a snoozefest to be sure, why all the hoodoo?

Limbo (II) (2023– )

This is a miserable series about miserable people I guess that's supposed to be the miserable idea of it all, there's something wrong with every person in the series, no one is normal, what a terrible take on Sweden!, I know this is a story I'm going to tell which might get this review not approved, years ago I had a student from Iran who grew up in Sweden, she once said nobody smiles there and that if someone smiles it's because they're either drunk or crazy, now I understand more, the faces the faces of these actors and actresses, egads!, did they pick the most unattractive people they could find?, the furrowed brows the motionless faces the wide eyes the stupid stares, I don't believe it's people acting I think the people decided to do a show like this and put their own personalities into the characters which yikes please show me a cliff to jump off of!, I endured this for you!, I'm your Jesus of the reviewers ha who hath sacrificed himself soeth you don't have to watch this dreadful shlop, amen.

Warrior (2019–2023)

ho hum Bruce is rolling over in his grave

The first day I was in Seattle Washington I visited Bruce Lee's grave!, even though his daughter is one of the producers or the producer of this, it's really not good, so unrealistic in so many ways, as people have pointed out most of the fight scenes are in the dark, very frustrating, and the idea of the Chinese tongs is such a stereotype, Bruce Lee's whole reason for wanting to be an actor was to break the stereotypes!, and this series is just full of them and not just that fake ones, one of the main actresses is Vietnamese!, there were no fake boobs then, and the tattoos?, mostly Chinese never have had those kind of tattoos ever, and the women leading everything?, no way at that time was that even remotely possible, and the clothes the women are wearing all of the sexy leather gear?, absolutely anachronistically impossible, it just kind of drags on and on.

Asteroid City (2023)

I tried to watch this twice, no way Jose, it's terrible!, sophomore writing at best?, what I mean to say is that the script is terrible!, that any actor of any renown would go along with this tripe and participate is a sad testimony to what people seem to believe movies ought to be?, really!, skip this nonsensical style, the ridiculous scenification, see what I did there?, the pastel colors ooh ooh so cool, not!, the Dead Pan delivery I'm sure directed by the directing fool, yes a fool who is playing you for a fool, seems to be another theme of our new millennium, the so-called story flits here and there of course as I'm sure the so-called director wanted it, and I guess all of the so-called actors now as they have made themselves by going along with it tongue and cheek are so internally giddy that they can get away with haha nonsense and even intimate that it's artsy fartsy, who don't even know what artsy fartsy is let alone art!, skip it, don't believe the hype.

The Crowded Room (2023)

I started to watch episode 7 and that's it no more I give up I regret that I watched six episodes so far because the big tell once it's over I mean the cat's out of the bag story goes straight downhill from there so if you've watched six episodes I recommend you just stop because why were we watching it anyways it ain't that good a great actress and Spider-Man I guess is that who that is right so a so so actor at best and then his affect doesn't work even despite the character/s he's playing anyway I've got news for you all listen up multiple personality disorder has been debunked it's a thing of the past this nonsense, even Sybil turned out to be totally fake so go on with your bad self and watch this fake nonsense ha don't say I didn't tell you so.

Silo (2023– )

not a great show, not a must watch

This is a dreary show that goes to nowhere around and around yeah we get the idea but it goes nowhere but around and around and common is not an actor not even a singer really I guess worth listening to but definitely not an actor and the series goes on and on and round and round with some kind of preposterous notions maybe it could have been a decent show but it didn't turn out to be one the main character is a dreary odd choice of an actress who's actions in the story aren't worth caring about and neither is the story my advice to you is not to watch this kind of dumb story I would not watch it I tried to I even watched a few episodes and then I realized I'm a goofball for watching it at all don't be a goofball don't watch it at all.

Decision to Leave (2022)

This movie was going nowhere I suffered through 58 minutes of a more than 2 hour long movie and it was getting worse and worse starting to make no sense whatsoever artsy fartsy attempt at moodiness whatever what the f ever this is nonsensical crud I like Korean shows and movies sometimes they're great but not this it is such a stretch to see the characters playing such dumb roles and time warping out of reality somehow into fixation of the cop for the suspect who is not pretty and once again a movie that keeps repeating some idea of the girl being pretty of course some knucklehead wanted to put this girl in the movie some Harvey Weinstein deal I guess anyway it just plain old sucks stay away from this disastrous crap.

The Legend & Butterfly (2023)

an excellent historical drama samurai style

What can I say?, this is a really good movie!, it has every element of a good story along with some kick butt samurai action and humor and romance, it is a story of fate, it is like the story of Arjuna who had to do what he had to do and be a warrior, it is a story of my best friend who became a special forces medic and who's choices I always questioned but he was he is a kind of hero in his own way and these heroes fall prey themselves to the violence their predilections put them in and who knows if there's any virtue in their actions, except of course their very intention in the first place however good it may be, this is a damn fine movie don't let anybody dissuade you from watching all 2 hours and 48 minutes of it, one of the best of its genre.

The Night Of (2016)

truly excellent

The series would have made James Gandolfini proud, all of the acting is really really good and the story is really really good it is compelling the filming of it is fantastic the way the shots are framed and the characters come through as real as real can be it's classic New York noir maybe maybe not exactly that but it's a telling of a fantastic tale a kind of a who knows what happened and I just watched two episodes the lead character is fine and fantastic and John Turturro blows my mind is blowing my mind also there's a parade of actors and actresses who show up in so many good shows later believe me it may not be everybody's cup of tea but give it a chance and I think you might love it it is done so well it's truly excellent did I say that?

The Diplomat (II) (2023– )

schmaltzy and unrealistic glam

Echoing many other reviewers here this show is just not realistic at all the lead actress basically sucks in the role and as someone else pointed out her hair is always a ratty mess I guess the person who does the hair for the show does all their hair the same way because the CIA girl her hair is also a ratty mess the relationship between the husband and wife ambassadors interferes with their work as if it is determining what they do in the ambassador political real world so much it's just not feasible the way it's written the script it's kind of corny and overblown in an exaggerated kind of way anyway if you're bored and you have nothing else to watch like me it passes the time Grey's anatomy was also a goofy soap opera like show lacking realism with odd relationships and West Wing was some sort of stupid dramatization of an insipid reality oh wait they were all written by the same gal?, yep, that says it all even if those with lower expectations like it.

Totally Completely Fine (2023)

This is really not a good show in my opinion, I tried to get into the first episode, but the characters are a little overly quirky, like they've been written that way but they are not realistic in any way it seems, and the protagonist young lady just seems like an unlikable person in the story, I have no reason to root for her or no interest whatsoever in finding out what happens to her after the surprise beginning, she just seems like an unlikely type of person, even though I guess there are people like the character in the real world, it just comes off odd for odd's sake I suppose, anyway ho hum yawn yawn, do better!

Bad City (2022)

superb

This is a fantastic Japanese Mafia gangster Yakuza crazy excellent fight scene movie with a pretty good story as well, of course it's not like the best movie in the world, it's not some sort of fantastic drama, it's not supposed to be!, the characters are great, the acting is wonderful, and the fight scenes are really really good, pretty authentic, yeah yeah there's not too many people who can withstand that many blows or who can fight countless multiple opponents, but why not?, it's a movie for crying out loud!, that's the point, it's for fun, what's with people and their crazy serious reviews?, trust me you might really like this movie if you give it a chance, of course it's some sort of police and Yakuza and Mafia storyline we see a lot of like it, but so what?, it's done well and it has a great hero in the captain the old dude with gray hair kicks proverbial butt!!
